What's the best non-poisonus snake to keep in your yard? I prefer the King Snake & the Rat snakes however I will kill the poisonus snakes such as a Rattle Snake. I also like the Black Racer snakes as well.

Well, some just told me that if i put 20 crickets in a cage with a juvy leopard gecko that I just got, (which I do; I put 20 in a week), that the crickets would kill him! Is that possible? Please I really need to know so I can stop this if it is incorrect.

I just got a juvenille leopard gecko, and I'm wondering, as far as feeding goes, if it's okay to just put 20 crickets in its cage a week. I'm afraid that it might not be such a goodidea... Also, What's the ideal lighting times for the lights I have? I want to make sure that I am doing this right. I mean, I don't want to kill the poor thing. (I have a Basking Light on one side and a Red Light on the other side.) What's the ideal temp of its tank? And my last question: What is the best way to hold him and to let him now that I'm not a threat? Thanks a lot! ~Nikki

i dont have much info about it, except:
-it was seen in florida
-it is black, white, brown, and like a mustard color
it was in my relative's yard, and if you are able to find a snake that fits the description, i would like to see a picture and i would like to know if it is poisonus
i have no idea if it had diamonds or stripes or if the colors were all mixed in
i would really appreciate the help even though i dont have enough info about it
please help me out if you can

He has a tree branch that it can climb to get to a little hideout. The hideout has clear plastic so we can see him but he can't get out. He hasn't moved from his hideout for a couple days now, and I'm starting to get worried. He won't even get out to eat.

Could it be the temperature? The temp. in the room is about 80 degrees, but he doesn't have a heat lamp yet. We just got him on Wednesday. I thought maybe he was hiding out up there because the plastic insulates and makes it warmer inside the hideout...

What shoud we do?

I'd want to buy a tortoise for a pet. If you can suggest which one is the most friendly, personal and smartest out there I can buy. Thank you a bunch
