He has a tree branch that it can climb to get to a little hideout. The hideout has clear plastic so we can see him but he can't get out. He hasn't moved from his hideout for a couple days now, and I'm starting to get worried. He won't even get out to eat.
Could it be the temperature? The temp. in the room is about 80 degrees, but he doesn't have a heat lamp yet. We just got him on Wednesday. I thought maybe he was hiding out up there because the plastic insulates and makes it warmer inside the hideout...
What shoud we do?

It isn't dead, idiot. It moves, just not from that spot. He turns around like once a day.

You need to get a few things for it. First off they need to have temperatures about 88-115. So you need a heat lamp, not a heat rock, they can burn your iguana. learned from experience. Exo Terra makes some nice big rocks that absorb the heat from a heat lamp and it makes a good basking/hiding spot as well. also you need to mist them probably twice a day. they like the humidity in their enclosure to be about 70%+, also you need to have a UV bulb, and proper supplements for your iguanna. if you need any more information on iguanas or keeping them healthy you can e-mail me at xrose_of_shyronx@yahoo.com.

I never owned an iguana, but an old boyfriend had a snake once and I think you could be right about the temp. Get one of those heated rocks or put the aquarium close to a light source. Make sure there is plenty of water.

Is it dead!!! You had better go check, the only way to do that is to reach into its cage and make really loud noises in front of its face , or clap a few time, also check all limbs to check for breaks, if everything seems fine take it to the vet.
