You should hold it at least once every two days if you can. Get it used to human interaction. The snakes that are left alone are the ones that become dangerous. They fear human touch.
Get the snake used to your touch early. Enjoy your pet!

You shouldn't hold it right away.
You should always let a snake get used to it new home for around 1 week before you start handling it.
Doing so will also help with feeding. Balls will often go off feed when stressed and a new home can be very stressful.
By letting him/her settle in first it will be much easier for him/her to adjust.
After the first week you should be fine.

Good Luck!

yes, hold it everyday. ten minutes at first, and each day add five more to that...the baby will relax and come to feel comfortable around you..just dont do anything too suddenly, take your time with him/her.
I just got a new baby ball, female; she's three weeks old now, i've had her for only a week, and hold her each day, plus stroke her head..that helps her calm down and keeps her from getting head shy..

Well.
I held mine the first day I got them.
Its much better if you hold them maybe once or twice a day.
That way they'll get use to you.
But don't move too fast at them.
Ball pythons tend to be jumpy.
And don't poke it or anything,
They might try to bite your finger because it's smaller then them.
When you go to pick him/her up, use your whole hand.
That way you won't get bit.

Definitely hold it, but give it a few days to adjust to it's new home. Then hold it as much as 3 times a day if you can. But not for too long. It'll loose it's heat, well unless it has skin to skin contact.

You can but its always good to give it a chance to settle down and get used to its new home as it may be a bit stressed. If you hold it only do so for short periods he will prefer to be left alone.

No, you shouldn't hold it the first day, other than what is needed to get it into its enclosure. You should wait about a week before you hold it.

it really is recommended that you wait to carry your new snake 40 8 hours after it eats its first meal. you would carry your snake, do only not carry it for prolonged sessions of time. you want your snake to sense delicate in its new abode so it will be extra keen to devour. retaining it for a short time gained't disrupt it that a lot.

Of course you can hold it, you should begin getting it accustom to you and your scent from the begining. I kept mine with me from the time I got her. Holding and letting they with and on you helps them from the begining to be familiar with your scent and feel. Depending on your skin type they seem to be a factor in their like or dislike.
