A cat is always coming into our backyard and is trying to get into my rabbits hutch so the cat can eat it!
We were going to take it to the council but everytime we go outside when it is in our backyard it will run away. This has been happening for a while now!
What should I do!?
Also my rabbit thinks that the cat is her friend so she always goes over near the cat.
Is there a disiese that a cat can carry and give a rabbit?
And what do you think I should do to try and get rid of the cat!?

I've been thinking for a few months that I'd like to follow in my father's foot steps...he rescues abused and neglected farm animals and rehabilitates them for use in his free neighborhood petting zoo...I was raised rescueing and rehabilitating animals with him and now that I'm 18, a high school grad with a full time job, I'm looking to start college...pick a career...I don't want to be rich or famous but I want to make a difference in the world around me during my lifetime...I couldn't be a vet or an animal cop, although I'd like to I just don't think it's right for me...I thought about opening up a no-kill shelter but have no clue how to and I've been told that's something you lose money on (I may not want to be rich but I do want to be a home owner)...I loved what my dad and I did together but it was a hobby not a career...I thought maybe taking this class might help me decide what to do in life:

I have a five foot Martin cage that I had customized with a pull out tray. It is still too time consuming to clean and I don't like that the rats are on wire flooring.

This cage looks really good (though it is marketed for Ferrets) --

Are there any other great cages out there?

Well, my baby bunny Ceyla follows me around EVERYWHERE. If I take her downstairs she gets some sort of food...but she also likes to screw around with my dog (my dog doesnt do anything so my bunny thinks its okay to chew on the hair between my dogs toes). So if im eating downstairs she will be all over the food, always trying to get some and I normally give in. So thats 1 reason I think she likes me for food. But every morning she wakes me up, gives me kisses, and sometimes she follows me even though I dont have food. I'm not sure if she just likes to be with me or likes me for food. What do you think? Please explain.

I'm 18....my wedding just got pushed back several years from the original date (from October 13, 2007 to October 13, 2013); I had a miscarrage last month; I moved 6 hours away from everyone and everything I love about a year ago and have been very lonely ever since (in this whole year I haven't made a single friend in the state I live in)...I'm grieveing my wedding plans which are now dead; my first baby which is now dead; and my hometown with all the friends and family I grew up with being so far away they might as well be dead...I have been tring to fill that void with my pets and as a result my cat is SPOILED; have three well kept fish tanks; and I have adopted two hamsters that again are well taken care of...yet I feel the need to have more pets...I'm not a hoarder; I don't want to over crowd my place -I have plenty of room for tanks and cages; I have plenty of time for them all as well as plenty of money...I grew up on farm with alot of pets of my own
my q is...is this healthy?

Do you think that a cat/dog is left or right pawed? For example if a cat is batting at a piece of string or a bug~ do they tend to use their left instead of their right or vice versa?

We just had to have our beloved Ridgeback put to sleep. He always hated the "vets" office and it made me feel terrible that his last moments would be at a place he hated. Would you use a "housecall" service to put your animal to sleep at your home?? Has anyone ever heard of this type of service?

I don't know how much time it had without food.
As I said, i'm giving it milk every 1-2 hours-
But it's like EXTREMELY weak.
But yesterday I saw him like really really weak, I thought he was going to die.
But it's not dieing, but it's also very very weak.

Hi. I just bought a Percheron on Wednesday and she's wonderful. She's 6 years old and dead broke, a really sweet girl.
But the only problem is that she doesn't stay going the direction I set her off in. She's always trying to turn and go check out other things. I have to correct her to get her to go the way I want her to.
How can I get her to not change direction unless I tell her to?
Sometimes it's a little of a struggle, she'll rubberneck sometimes, and she doesn't understand leg cues yet.
I've got her in a single jointed O-Ring, but have ordered a Tom Thumb because that's what the people who owned her before me used.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks guys!

The mummy has mucus in the corner of her eyes, and so does one of the kittens.

Also, i have heard the kittens sneeze a few times.

Are these normal or whats could be wrong?

I love my babies so any help would be appreciated!

that if you touch baby animals, the mother will reject or eat them? This is simply NOT TRUE. Not for pets, not for wild animals. The mothering instinct is far too strong for a mom to reject her babies just because of the way they smell.

You CAN pick up a wild baby bird and put it back in the nest -- in fact, you SHOULD.

You SHOULD pick up baby pets -- puppies, kittens, hamsters, rabbits, whatever -- after the first couple of days. Handling the young animals is how you make nice, tame, well-socialized pets!

PLEASE pass this information along so we can get rid of this myth once and for all!

I have a rabbit that I resuced from a shelter about 2 months ago. Her previous family did not keep her in a cage and she does very well in the house without one. She has never chewed or destroyed anything. The problem I have is with litter training. She seems to have problems grasping the concept and I am very tired of steam cleaning my carpet. Can anyone please give me suggestions or websites I can go to for answers. Getting rid of her is not an option, she's mine regardless of what she does wrong. She tends to panic and get stressed very easily when confined to a cage or any other small space. I just don't know what to do. Thank you in advance for you input and advice.

I just bought a puppy on tuesday, Tuesday and Wed went great and then all of a sudden yesterday i became extremely stressed, cant sleep or eat, and am really considering trying to sell the puppy. I love him and he is a great and sweet dog, I am just so stressed! Has anyone else got a new dog and been this stressed about it? What did you do to help it go away? I would just like some advice on what I should do. And yes i did research dogs and wanted one for a long time before getting him. It is just a different thing when you actaully have one!
