I am starting to pet sit. Should I charge by hour or day and how much?

It depends on how much experience you have, what services you perform, and whether or not you have a business license and liability insurance.

When I had pets, I would never allow someone to come into my home in my absence to care for my pets unless they had a legitimate, licensed business with insurance, and unless they were experienced with the type of pets I had, and could provide references.

It depends. I think you should do it by hours like for example 5-10 dollars per hour because if you take care of a pet for 2 hours then you will probably get around 15 dollars. If you do it by days then maybe make it like 20 dollars because what if you pet sit a pet for 3 days then they will have to pay you 60 dollars. The bad thing is they might think that's too much money and get someone else to do it. So I guess make it cheaper then. Well that's what I think. Sorry!!!

Well it depends on your duties.if 8 hours then charge by the day like 40 dollars ,because pets are like children they destroy things. If you are pet sitting at you home I say 40 dollars a day if you are pet sitting at their home i say 25-30 day because you still have to clean up **** too, feed it walk it and put up with the energy which you are investing to pay attention to the pet.

$30.00 for the day

or $10.00 each time you go over to walk and feed. Some people just need someone to come over during the day or evening to let their dog out before they come home and $10.00 is reasonable
