Here's the situation.

My friend has been dating this guy for about 6 months. Yesterday she told me that her boyfriends father is notorious for shooting his animals. IE- his dog chewed up his work bookts once, that pissed him off, so he shot and killed the dog. He shoots pet cats when he's tired of owning them and he sits in his window with his gun, shooting birds and squirrels when the enter his yard. My friend wont report him because she doesnt want to lose her boyfriend... But I dont care about her boyfriend, or her boyfriends father, and I want to report it.

is it considered animal abuse? and can they even do anything, if they have no proof?

I've posted my question the other day "Problems bonding the 3rd rabbit". Thanks for the answers!! There is no problem with the lop male bunny, he seems get along well with any bun, but the female bun (not lop breed) always chased and mount any new bun i've brough home, and posture as if she is mating with the lop male bun from the back. I was so angry and tried to give to juz a soft slap, who knows whe bit my palm, bleeding!! I've had her since Nov last year, and she seems a bit wild, and make lots of noise by scratching and kicking, especially when we r sleeping. Should i give her away?

That's what my vet says but I find that VERY hard to believe. Thanks to anyone who can confirm or deny this statement.

We humans live in close contact with dogs, cats and several other species of companion animals. Living in close contact with ANYONE can occassionally result in problems... behavior problems (aggression, chronic barking, fear) or in management issues.

What do you think is the problem that most badly needs a solution in terms of animals living among us?

We are getting 4 goats, 3 female and 1 male. We will be keeping them in the Hutto(TX) area where there's coyotes and stuff. We have a jenny. Do you think if we put her with the goats that she will protect them? I hear thats what dokeys do, but I wasn't sure.

We have a bijon with some maltese and poodle mixed in. She is 6 mo. old, and likes the canned watery food better. Well, so would I! Dog owners, dry or wet plus dry food for our little white ball of energy!

Within the last week, my 3 year old chihuahua has developed an obsession for the parakeet. He stands outside his cage and whines, and follows him around when he's outside of the cage. The parakeet has been around the dog his whole life and there have been no recent changes in anything; ie food, location, anything. There are also two finches in the cage which he doesn't even notice. The dog gets PLENTY of attention and has a yard outside, and has never been concerned with other birds. This is TOTALLY new and I'm not really concerned because there is no BAD behaviour, I'm just confused as to why and why now.

My daughter is 8 years old and would like a pet of her own to take care of. She's very responsible and helps with the family pets now. We have a russian tortoise, 2 cats, a dog and a rabbit. I'm looking for a begginer pet, something that's friendly and fairly easy to care for.
She likes fuzzy and scaled animals.

Twice this week our neighbors dogs have gotten out, and last night I had three neighborhood children come running into my house in fear because this dog chased them and was trying to bite them. This dog has to be about 110lbs German Sheppard. Normally I would go to the neighbor with the dogs and tell them, they got out again. This time he was aggressive towards me!

Another neighbor called animal control and when they arrived, the dog was in the owners front yard, and apparently there was nothing to do, because the dog was on his property.

This is NOT the first time that this dog has gotten loose.
He has been very aggressive to other neighbors and their pets.
The owner just says, "ohhhhhhhhhhh, he got out again?"
One neighbor went to shoot it because it charged at him.

What would you do?

I'm thinking about buying my longtime boyfriend a guinea pig for his birthday (he's wanted one for years), and was wondering at the average cost of purchasing one, all of the equipment (I can make the cage myself), and the upkeep.

Also, what sex would be best? Does the sex affect their temperament any?

*I Miss You*

I miss you

And you know it’s true

You might not remember me

But you made me very happy

But when ever you were taken away

I cried every night and day

I felt horrible without saying goodbye

And that’s why I would cry

Your pictures in my room

And I really hope to see you soon

But I know I won’t ever get to

Since you have another family that loves you

You’ll always be in my heart

Nothing could tear us apart

I’ve got myself drowning in tears

Just thinking back 2 or 3 years

I wish you could hear me

Even though that couldn’t be

I just wanted to say…

I love you

And I miss you

this was dedicated to my baby mitzi, she was a cat and she turned one when my dad took her away and i raised her when she was like a couple of weeks old and she would cuddle with me in my bed when i would try to sleep and she would attack the covers when i would make up my bed...she was so sweet

The cows are young and not ready to milk. Their names
are Rosie, Clara, and Beth. I love Rosie the best and
give her more attention than the others. Do you think
someday when she is older she will produce spoiled
milk since I favor her?

Can anyone offer me any advice? My rabbit has sore hocks and they're not getting any better. When we went to the vet he suggested changing his bedding to a layer compost, then his hay on top of that. To me this seems very strange. He also said I should clean his hocks 3 times a day with salt water. But I want to do more for my boy!

I looked at his feet today and they are very red and I've noticed he's sitting at a strange angle so I think they are hutrting him. What should I do? Any advice is appreciated. (unless it's offensive)
