*I Miss You*

I miss you

And you know it’s true

You might not remember me

But you made me very happy

But when ever you were taken away

I cried every night and day

I felt horrible without saying goodbye

And that’s why I would cry

Your pictures in my room

And I really hope to see you soon

But I know I won’t ever get to

Since you have another family that loves you

You’ll always be in my heart

Nothing could tear us apart

I’ve got myself drowning in tears

Just thinking back 2 or 3 years

I wish you could hear me

Even though that couldn’t be

I just wanted to say…

I love you

And I miss you

this was dedicated to my baby mitzi, she was a cat and she turned one when my dad took her away and i raised her when she was like a couple of weeks old and she would cuddle with me in my bed when i would try to sleep and she would attack the covers when i would make up my bed...she was so sweet

I think it is very sweet that you dedicated a poem to your beloved cat. I think it was very cruel for her to be taken from you. Hopefully one day you will be able to have another to love and take care of.

I'm sorry about your cat. I've had cats all my life and I have lost several over the years and still mourn for them. Still, this isn't a poem. It has no poetic devices, no meter and no imagery. It's a sort of letter to your cat. If you want to learn to write poetry, take some books of poetry out of the library and read them. Then you'll understand what I mean.

I thought you were writing about a man....who is married......or a baby you gave up for adoption.

very sweet. I love kitties too and I foster and have to give them up for adoption. It gets easier the more i do it. I try not to get so attached.
