We have a bijon with some maltese and poodle mixed in. She is 6 mo. old, and likes the canned watery food better. Well, so would I! Dog owners, dry or wet plus dry food for our little white ball of energy!

Don't ever give dogs wet food or they will always want it. None of my dogs have ever had wet food and I've raised dogs for over 35 years.

My vet had said that they should have a main diet of dry food as teh moistened or caanned food they have nothing to strenghthen their teeth and will often loose their teeth at a very young age.
If you give can give in teh mornig and for such a little dog about 2 table sppons seperate from the dry.
Good Luck
You might want to ask your vet his oppinion.

my dogs love canned food it makes no difference. my vet said the only thing that you will notice is that is is about 3x what you paid for dry food. With my dogs and cats I mix them together that way they don't get diarrhea which my dogs will.

According to my vet. dry is better for all age dogs. Helps with their teeth. Some vets disagree with that. I personally feed dry because I do think it helps. I think it's just a personal choice.

I have always used dry food only.
Just find a healthy good tasting one.

I find that he wet food makes their tummies sick and makes them get diarrhea which can be a big issue.

put about 1 cup of dry food and add in about 1/3 can of wet dog food, add some nupro (ill put in a link for it) and mix it all in with warm/hot water. he should like it a lot. actually, i used that for my german shepherds. use about 1/2 of that lol.

It depends on her - if she seems to not have diarrhea or other stomach problems, then what you're currently giving her is fine.
You don't mention what brand of food you're feeding. Here are some sites to evaluate your dog's food:
