That many people treat them like possessions, property, "toys." Loving, & learning to understand an "animal" companion is easier than with a human. & much more rewarding, as their love is unconditional. The things you mentioned, aggression, barking...have honest motivations, reasons. OBSERVE these, explore, & don't just think of them as "negative behaviour," but what is the cause? I've lived in harmony with many dogs & cats. Be as sensitive as you would be to a special friend. Otherwise, don't choose to live with them. Just answered a great question from someone who is writing a manual. Be aware, understand, (Yes you can!) & have respect.

I really think that aggression is a major concern for pets. While barking and fear truly do not hurt anyone, aggression does. Aggression in a dog crosses the trust that people and pets should have between each other. Lack of trust is a major reason that some people fear dogs, and the number one reason pets are aggressive. No person or pet deserves to live in fear, so if anyone could come up with a solution for that....it would be a wonderful neighborhood to walk in!!!

The problem I see all to often is when people gets these dogs as a family pet & keeps them tied in yards 24 / 7. Little or no attention & socialization, some not fed & watered on a regular basis. Seeing a dog with feelings treated this way really infuriates me!!!! Why do they even bother getting a dog if they are forced to live alone outside!!??

I can see where your coming from. I've thought about that before how having a lot of money has a lot of downfalls. However there is good people out there who wouldn't take advantage of your wealth but it's hard to find them. Do you know any other wealthy people? Maybe they could help connect you to others who are well off? I can relate to you on a different level. I don't have a lot of money but I can relate to you in the sense that it's hard to find people like this anyway without being wealthy. Do you know what I'm saying? People can take advantage of you regardless if you have money or not because sometimes people are just out to satisfy their own desires. So, if they see your a good person they will gain your trust just to exploit your trust. I would say go with your gut instincts when it comes to people. Also how would people know your wealthy? Are you like really out there with your name? I try and take life as it comes because we never know what can come tomorrow. I find some things in life take time to find or come together and sometimes we have to suffer in the process but I believe it makes us stronger. I would say just go about life normally and keep yourself busy doing the things you love because I'm sure something good will come down the road :) Hope that helps.

Overpopulation is a huge problem. I get so tired of seeing animals cast away because they have reproduced. Spay and Neuter of animals would be a wonderful thing.

disposablility - too many people don't KEEP them long... this is partly tied to lack of knowlage of many owners (also the cause or significant contributer of many of the other problems- cronic barking, aggression....)
