i had a rat named angel, she bit me and i threw her on to my bedroom wall.she deserved it but i felt bad cause she made a popping sound.im never cruel to animals but it seemed like it.but shes fine and she wont do it again. i no she wont!

It looks almost like there are specks of dirt on their chin. They have been scratching a lot and I think they are actually tiny scabs. They cats are indoor cats and I live in the city so they dont have fleas or bugs. Ive switched to glass bowls since and no change there. What could be causing this chin disease, chingervitus

I heard a few years ago that they got all their rawhide from Europe and that it contained dangerous chemicals and bits of dog and cat skin. I don't know if they still do that?

I know I have to go through four years of college before I actually go to vet school (Texas A&M is the only one in Texas, I heard). But in high school, what kind of grades should I be getting, and what kind of courses should I take?

Right now, I am enrolled in animal science (HS Level). I plan on taking four years of math and science, though only three years are needed to graduate. My grades aren't failing, but they aren't to sharp either. I may also volunteer at an animal shelter.

I came home the other night with a shell I thought was empty from the coast. I had carried around the shell for a long time, and nothing had came out. Later that night, I had checked the shell to make sure that there wasn't a crab inside. I couldn't really tell, so I put the shell in a large glass of water. I've never had a hermit crab before and have been doing extensive research on care for them. My question is, "How long can a hermit crab remain in plain drinking water?" I realize his current habitat isn't suitable, but I need to know ASAP so that way I know if it's really hurting it at the moment.

I need to know, what are some things I can get to slow him down, should I get a flash bridle? What kind of bit should I use? Should I get a martingale with a standing or running attachment?

a while back , i was walking to school and I was chased by two dogs ( I across the street twice before someone came to my aide and hit one) and then I left out of school another day and was chased by two different dogs outside the school. If you are wondering about security guard, they sat in the booth and did nothing. is there anyway to avoid this problem so i can be safe for the next semster( cause running with a book with four heavy books, notebooks and stuff I usually put in my purse is pretty heavy) Please help.

I have a little Paso Fino in Puerto Rico that I would like to bring to Florida. He weighs about 1,000 lbs, is 14 years old and in very good health. I have not been able to find any kind of estimate on how much it would cost to fly him in to the Miami Airport from San Juan, and don't know where to start searching for information. Does anyone know or have an idea? What documentation and blood tests does he need to have done to be able to enter Florida? What company can I contact to fly him in? How much would quarantine cost? Does anyone know how the quarantine station at the Miami Airport works? How long are geldings held in quarantine, on average? Can I visit him at all while he's there? (I thought not, but I've heard of quarantine stations where you can actually go and ride, but this one was in Ocala.) Estimates are fine, if anyone out there has transported their horses between San Juan and Miami. I just want to have an idea. Thank you!

i saw on a programme the other day where someone had a baby gorilla. i think it was a orphan and they were given it to look after, where abouts in the world is it legal that baby monkeys can be fostered until they are strong enough to be put back into the wild? i was thinking about doing this when i am older and would like to no how much you get paid to foster them ???

I need lots and lots of answers!! My hamster is about a year and a half old. About two weeks ago, I woke because he was squeaking really loud and I picked him up and he kept squeaking, then when i put him down, he was fine! i don't know if this has to do anything at all with it but he stopped eating & drinking 3 days ago. All he's been doing for 3 days straight is sleeping. His breathing is abnormal, it's fast, slow, normal, then it does that again. His face is full of goopy stuff. and he can't even open his eyes. He can't move his back legs either. What's wrong with him and is there anything i can do?? HELP!! ITS URGENT!!!

I gave my 5mth old cat a bowl of diced ham early this week and now like 3 days later he seems exhausted, weak in back legs and just not his normal self? Could this be because of the ham? It wasn't off/old. He's an inside cat? He is fully vet checked and up to date with needles and worming. Any help would be much appreciated.

My hamster can't open his eyes. It's like they are glued shut. He hasn't eaten for 3 days or drinken. His whiskers are starting to curl up and he has been sleeping nonstop for three days. It's like his back legs aren't working as well as they have been. Is there anyhting I can do? and his front paws are red and the front of his face is goopy with something on it. Please help!! It's urgent!

my hamster is drinking all of its water from a big bottle very quickly.it is then urinating on nearly all of its sawdust on the floor.it goes mad emptying the bottle very noisily and ferociously as soon as you fill it.it is not happy until it is empty.

we recently bought my daughter a new hamster (her last one died of old age) the wee thing is now 12 weeks old weve had it for 4 weeks now the problem is that it is so jumpy that we cant even pet him we have tried to lift him up but he jumps out our hands we have taken our time with him talking to him and letting him approach our hand in his cage but nothing seems to work dont know what to do next please help

one of my goats is seems like it is shedding, he is black and he has patches of hair that is grey, and falling out, almost like when a bird looses its feathers. anyone know why, my other goat is not having the same problem

i have had hamsters before and they have not done this, but i dont know if it is a regular thing for hamsters to have tremors. i know its not a siezure becuz she is still active while it happens, just periodically when she stops for a moment to sniff things or look around, i can see a slight tremor...is it normal
