My 17 year-old Siamese cat just died last week, and the kids are already starting to ask when we might get another cat. We are huge pet-lovers (suckers) but I am not sure when the time will be right for a new kitty . . .

Okay, this is gonna sound a bit wierd, but I am placing an order for a sweatshirt for my mom through 4-h, and instead of plain old "lori" embroidered on the sleeve, I thought it would be really kinda funny to give my mom a "show name" like for horses, since it is through our horse 4h club

I not sure what it is . My hamster has developed a bald spot on top of her head and a blister as well as a white spot on her eye . This has happened within the last 4 days or so . Does anyone know what is wrong with her ? Please help .

I have a rat and it is very annoying when it chews on the edge of the cage, and I just noticed that is is totally biting through. It is a very sweet rat, but what does it need other than attention(which I love to give!!!!!)

My dog is an Australian Cattledog and everytime we drive up to the house he starts chasing the horses like crazy! He always does it when we first drive up, he just starts chasing them and barking at them, he even jumps up, grabs onto their tails (with his mouth) and swings off. He's very quick so they haven't kicked him yet, but he's ripping thier beautiful tails out! I know he does this because he's a herding dog but why especially when we drive up? Any suggestions on how to stop it?

Hey guys im new because I need to ask you what i can do to make my parents let me get a hamster. My mom used to have a hamster but it died and i think she love it alot. My mom is alergic to cats and dogs but i dont know about hamsters. Oh and we have a 2000 dollar bird that we got a year ago but ive always wanted MY OWN pet not the family's. I am moving to France this summer and can't leave my dog behind, but the airlines have temperature restrictions. I can't afford to take a cargo or cruise ship, either. Can I ship her by some other safe means? Should I wait until cool weather hits to move? I would appreciate any helpful suggestions.

Recently i have been working and saving up my money to donate it to a non profit horse rescue center... however i am not sure whether or not i should donate it to a smaller organization or a big one... Part of me says smaller, because big ones probably get a lot of publicity and donations-- whereas the smaller ones, in the same situations, don't.
