It can mean 'Price on application'. Generally used when the horse is at the higher end of the market. I've never seen a Pony of the Americas advertised in England, but I see POA in advertisements, for all different breeds, all the time. I guess it depends on where you live...

POA can stand for "Pony Of the Americas." It is a breed of horse with the same coloring as the Appaloosa. I believe the difference is size. POAs may not be over a certain height.

POA stands for Pony of America. It's a combination of 3 breeds. Appaloosa, Welsh, and Quarter Horse, I think. They are generally white with spots like a Dalmatian, called leopard spotted. They are fairly small and a friend of mine has good luck with hers.

It means Pony of Americas.

POAs are perfect for trail and endurance riding, ranch work and family outings of all kinds. The gentle disposition, durability and intelligence of this unique pony breed make the horses truly versatile. These gentle child-size equines can give a boy or girl the confidence to enjoy the opportunity to develop strong horsemanship skills and to explore many exciting uses for his or her pony.

POA coat patterns vary widely and, over time, some ponies get additional color. One of the most common colorations is a blanket pattern, which is characterized by white over the loin and hips with dark, round, g-shaped spots. These spots may vary in size from tiny specks to spots four or more inches in diameter. Others will show white over the hips without dark spots. This variation on the blanket pattern is known as snow-capped.
