every day when i get him out his eye is swollen shut by what look like puss of some thing yellow. when i see it i clean it with warm water and a cotton ball. need help!!!!!

your doing the right thing by cleaning it up with warm water and cotton wool but the best thing to do would be to take hammy to the vets and get him some medication if its an infection. in the meantime id disinfect the housing aswell. hope hammy is better soon

Try using a tea bag and get the water all colored with the tea then use the tea to clean the hamsters eye. Tea has a compound in it that helps eyes to heal.

if i were you i would take your hamster straight to the vets,because if the infection gets worse something more drastic will ocure.
