Growing up .... our dogs ate nothing but table scraps ... with some types of dog food to supplement when there were no leftovers. These dogs seemed healthier than they are today .... or at least less maintenance.

When did it become the norm to feed the pets entirely on pet food ???

do you know about doves

if you get one it will bond to you and the females do not cooo very much-what do u know about doves?

I prayed the peace prayer too-Jesus I am sorry for my sins, bring peace to my heart and come in and be my friend, help me do better, amen.

Jesus said "I love you and knock on the door of your heart to come in deliver from sin and be your friend when u ask me in repenting of sin." Revelation 3:19&20

in the bible it says a dove was sent out to see if the land was at peace and it came back with an olive branch= Genesis

I am considering the idea of getting my 15 year oldl daughter a Ferret as a present, but I have had bad experiences with cats and dogs in the past...unable to litter train, vomit problems, I even had a cat who always bit me when I tried to pet her. Do you think some people just aren't good at having pets? Is it something like having a good greenthumb for growing plants? Do you have to have a calling or a knack for having pets? Would a Ferret be a good choice to have a pet?
My daughter absolutely would love to have one because I had told her that Ferrets need a lot of playtime, holding and affection and that they die of sadness if you do not cater to them all day long. I am also worried about if to have it in a cage and take it out daily or if it is better to let them roam free around the house all the time. I am also concerned about trainning to ise a litterbox...Is it like trainning a cat? How much does a Ferret cost? How much per year it costs?

Thanks,

Possible Ferret Gifte

I'm currently getting to know my new pony - I've had her for a month now. Anyway, she gets a bit nappy and spooky when she's bored, because she's done just about everything in her time.
So I'm trying to think of exercises we can do. I've been doing trotting poles, weaving around upright poles, serpentines, figures of eight etc.
I've got access to barrels, poles, jumps, cones etc etc.

Has anyone got any ideas of fun things we can do?

I have a droopy ear rabbit and he seems sad because he is not very active and have some tears come out from his eyes sometimes. He is eating and does move, he just doesn't seem to be very active running around. I took him to somebody that sold rabbits and he told me that that was normal. I think that is strange and that he didn't know what he was talking about. Does anyone have any helpful ideas?

My dog recently passed away and I'm seeking a new pet. Something small -I'd love to have a dog again but my father is totally against having another one in our home. He was never a dog fan but allowed him in because my mom was dog crazy. She passed away in 2005. I'll abide by his request until that great day in the far future when I may have one again. BUT he didn't say no to a smaller pet, something I can keep in a cage and let out when I'm supervising it. What smaller critter makes for the best pet? I'm seeking something friendly, playful, intelligent, has a tendency not to snip or bite when handled gently. Any ideas? What are the plusses and "whatch out for"s of each?

I love horse back riding and horses and was just wondering if you had to have an already existing one like a family business or if I could eventually start one.

I bought a dwarf hamster. I didn't buy the bedding. Instead, I just put newspaper and tissue shreddings. Why does it scratch? Is it because of the shreddings? And when I pick it up from the cage, it bites. Why?

Just something to keep in my basement. In like a big pool of water or something. Its for a party, but I wouldn't throw it out. It would be well fed and watered.

The other day my cat knocked my fire bellied toad's tank down. The toad is missing now and I searched all over my house. This type of toad is semi-poiseness but not deadly. If this has happened to you please explain what happened to your cat or dog.
