do you know about doves
if you get one it will bond to you and the females do not cooo very much-what do u know about doves?

I have three turtle doves. You are right about how only the male coo's.Bonding, hum, I have no close relationship with mine. Maybe if you have a lot of time to devote to it. Mine coos most of the day and starts every single time the phone rings. I don't know where you live but I'm pretty sick of mine. Have had the male for 6 years now and the two females for 5 years. They are very messy.They also consume a lot more food than I thought they would.They eat probably 10 times what my three finches do.You can't feed only seed either. They need fruit and vegetables too. Mine loves winter squash.This type of dove can't survive outside no matter what anyone tells you.They have been domesticated and can no longer find their own food and will become prey real quick. The mourning doves you see around your home are suited to living outside. I let mine loose in the house often as I think caged birds are most likely very dissatified with their lives although the vet assures me that that is all they have ever known and know no different. They do not long to be free as they know no better. I still let mine out to exercise and they seem to like it. One of the biggest safety factors is your oven. You must remove them from anywhere near your kitchen if you are going to use your self-cleaning oven as the fumes will kill them real quick.

You don't need a dove to pray Jesus or whatever! You need to be reminded of the likelihood of an epidemic - BIRD FLU - hitting many parts of the world! The other points you have mentioned in the amplification of your question appear to be just a myth if not rubbish in this modern age!

doves r really peaceful birds .i too have many doves at my home.yes u can keep dove at ur home.
