The other day my cat knocked my fire bellied toad's tank down. The toad is missing now and I searched all over my house. This type of toad is semi-poiseness but not deadly. If this has happened to you please explain what happened to your cat or dog.

Never had an animal eat a semi poisonous animal, but my dog did once chew up my box turtle. Poor little girl had to be super glued back together and on antibiotics for a while. I would check with your vet and keep a close eye on your cat. While they may not be deadly to humans, your kitty is much smaller than you and the amount of toxins ingested may still be dangerous. Even if your cat didn't eat the toad but just mouthed or pawed it, it still could have ingested some of the toxins. Good luck

My cat tore up a 3-1/2 ball python!
Pretty funny, but not for the snake I guess.

As the myth says, cats will not eat much of anything that would harm them. Impossible to poison them!

Your cat may have started playing with his new toy and could have hurt it or worse...
The chances that the cat had eaten it, or enough to get sick are pretty slim.

More likely the toad found a small, safe nook somewhere. May have died there also...sorry.

I have 5 cats, 3 snakes, and a lizard.. the only thing the cats ever do is paw at them.. but never use claws or teeth.. so im not sure what would happen if they ate one.. probably a pretty nasty stomach ache! im sure your toad just took off looking for freedom!

The cat would not eat it, as it would taste awful to the cat. The toad is hiding in a dark spot.

nope, but I have had a few cats disappear when they got too close to some of mine. (They were not my cats and got too close to the Cayman in the outdoor tank).
