I swear, that little piggie has more hair than I do!!!
His hair is especially long in the rear, and sometimes, 'stuff' gets stuck in it...how do we best cut it without risking to hurt him?

I was playing with my 2 boy dwarf hamsters together and they get along together okay, but they started to fight and squeak and when I pulled them apart the younger ones teeth were chattering. Is this a bad sign? Will I ever be able to let them be around each other again? They don’t share a cage.

My female parakeet is 3-4 years old. The area surrounding ehr rectum is swelled up like a balloon. There seems to be a brown liquid coming out of her rectum as well. I dont think she is pregnant this time. What could be wrong? Im planning on taking ehr to the vet tomorrow.

1. I have heard that the saddles provide more security for the rider... is this true?

2. Also, does anyone know if it is difficult to learn to ride in an Australian saddle.

3. Do horses have to be trained specificly for an australian saddle?

Thank you so much for your help!

I hear it could be transmitted to me by just being around her. What affect would this have on me? I have googled, etc. with no result except for the affect on the rabbit. Does anybody have any experience with this?

I have an 8, almost 9 year old american quarter horse mare named Bailey. I show mostly at our county fair in the middle of July. I don't really ride in winter, because I don't have a good place to ride other than the pasture, or fields around my house. During fair week, she is amazing, and does what I ask. She is an incredible contester, as well as reiner and dressage horse. We are starting jumping this year too. I've been riding almost ten years, have had horses for most of my life. My problem with Bailey is that she is so jumpy and psycho during off-season. Every year I have to pretty much re-train her. I know I need to ride more in winter, but what else can I do to have her calm all the time. Last year, in April, I took her to a clinic and the trainer thought she was a green young mare. Shes been ridden for 5 or 6 years, not green. I love riding her, we open up in the fields in fall and just FLY. But I went to ride the other day and couldnt get on her by our trailer.

hi. i go to school and would like a pet. school starts at 7:45 and i end at 2:30 usually getting home at about 3. my dad works late ( minus friday, saturday, sunday, other holidays ). my mother would like for the pet to be my responsibility so she will not be taking care of it much. i do not like rodents, fish, birds, or reptiles
( with the exception of turtles which however are pretty boring to own ). can you tell me what kind of pet will not require much attention and is easy to care for yet i can cuddle and play with.

THANKS IN ADVANCE :-) ♥ ♥ ♥

I was thinking of getting a tarantula, are they interesting animals to have in the house? They seem interesting but i want to know for sure. Are they as benign as they appear to be? I know the hairs can be shot at an attacking creature, can they be held at all by their owners?

Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.

one more thing, this would be a rose tarantula if that helps.

Is it cruel that I won't pay for a vet visit if the animal is "totalled" like a car and repairs (treatment) would cost more than buying a replacement?

I remember when I was little and my mom took my hamster to the vet and they put him on some antibiotic that cost more than 30 new hamsters would have cost. Even then I didn't see the point.

I have one very very sweet dwarf hamster that never bites or gets startled. I’ve had him for a while and adopted him when he was a baby.

I also just got another dwarf and he is very mean! He gets startled and runs away from me when I try to pick him up, and bites me allot so it bleeds. He was bought at store and was not hand raised. What can I don to help him trust me and be as nice as my other hamster?
