I hear it could be transmitted to me by just being around her. What affect would this have on me? I have googled, etc. with no result except for the affect on the rabbit. Does anybody have any experience with this?

from what i understand it is usually only a problem if the person is immunocomprimised (AIDS, chemo ect)

I'm not familiar with that disease, however I'm pretty sure there is only one rabbit disease that is communicable to humans. And I believe it was a virus put into wild rabbits in Australia on purpose to help control the overpopulation of wild rabbits in Australia.

As far as I know it hasn't gotten into the domestic rabbit population.

You might try asking Dr. Chris Hayhow for more information on the disease you mentioned. He is an expert in rabbit diseases. If anybody might know, he might.
