Male hamsters have testicles...turn them upside down...if there is a bulge by the tail you can bet they are male...
with hamsters it is best if you have one per cage or they tend to fight...and hurt each other if not kill each other...
and the most my hamsters have had in babies is 12...

Good Luck!

Find some one who can tell the difference if you can't yet. Or look at this site I found for you, it has pictures showing the differences of males and females. Until you find out, don't let them play together any more. The best sign of mating is the male will mount the female for a few minutes or less even. Yes, like the dogs do. Hamsters are quick at it. As the site says, it is hard sometimes to tell them apart, we bred hamsters in the past and one male ended up with the females, he was so tiny that things weren't so obvious to us until it was too late. Another litter 19 days later. The females heat cycle is every 4 days and are more fertile at night. Babies are carried for 18-21 days. An average litter is 4-5 babies, but they can have up to 20 babies. Read the Hamsterific section on breeding and raising pups under hamster care. I put the link below for you. The first link won't take you to the home page for some reason, I've tried before.

This link will take you to the pictures mentioned above. Click on the second link and go down the list to find out different thing on the different dwarf or Syrian hamsters. The site can be very useful to you.

Good luck with them.

Telling the sexes of hamsters is pretty easy.

Flip one of your hamsters over. There will be two small openings in both sexes. The one closest to the base of the tail is the anus. About 1cm from the anus, is the second opening. In males, there is also a small, whitish protrusion on the side farthest from the tail.

Also, males are more elongated around the rear due to their large, prominent testicles. This is usually the dead give-away that you own a male. A lot of people, upon first seeing this, think that they are either tumors or the hamster is having a baby.

LOL you better be sure they are both boys, I raised hamsters when I was a Teen and actually they had babies so often I used to sell them to a local dept. store for a dollar a piece, I think they multiply faster than bunnies. If they are just young they will get along after a bit if they are male / female they will fight as the male only has one thing in mind and if the female does not they fight.

As lovable as they could be, you're able to positioned their welfare first! toddler hamsters are very fragile, and their mothers are very protective, lots so she would be able to eat them if she thinks they are threatened. you're able to under no circumstances carry a toddler hamster until eventually they are out and approximately with the help of themselves, that could soak as much as 3 weeks. Even then, you're able to make very confident you already understand how the mum will respond. intently place your hand in the cage with the family contributors, and see how she responds to you. If she nonetheless does not tolerate your presence, please, I press lower back, positioned their welfare first!! until eventually then, make confident they are as undisturbed as conceivable; far off from heavy site visitors in the living house, loud noises, song, different pets, that could advance rigidity tiers. this might advance probabilities of your mommy hamster feeling comfortable and save her toddlers secure. solid success!!

I know many guys who have a lot of "fun" all over the place where you tell if they are boys.

if they're both boys there is no need. Two males can't make a babie hamster. Nor can two females. You would need one male and one felmale.

I haven't had hamsters in 50 years, but I recall that it was the shape oftheir tails..One had a butt with a distinst tail and the other had a gradually tapered tail kThat wasthe boy vs. girl. Yes, they do it like dogs. Its seems like they go in heat like every fourth day, esp. near sunset.
