just adopted a hamster that was abandoned at petco and came with his old cage and old toys but he smells like piss... how do i bathe a hamster ? ? ?

I can't try them out because I am leasing a horse and I need to have a saddle to ride. I read that Bates and Pessoa are good but that they are now made in Argentina.. I read that Schleese is a good brand. Yes, I know i need to try a bunch but that isn't possible. So i'd rather buy a good quality one that will be comfortable for the horse and adjustable. Any ideas? I'm looking for used and my budget is between 800 to 1200. Thank you!!

Hi. My Mom's g/f Lisa ADORES animals and especially cats. I don't wanna just be boring though and get her some cat calendar...I think I did that last year. And it doesn't necessarily have to be a cat gift either. Basically, she loves all animals and wants to help them without having to see them go through any pain or suffering. That's why she could never be a vet (she has issues). But basically I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what kind of fairly affordable gift I could get her for Christmas? Maybe there's something I could get her that would help animals, but yet she wouldn't have to see any pain or suffering of any animals in the process!? Or if no one can really think of any present I could give her that helps animals in that way, then if you could just help me think of any other animal related present I could give her. She already has like a cat coffee mug and a couple other things like that...(I'm trying to not be typical basically). Thank you :).

OK so my husband and i found a person selling 2 dogs from new jersey and we live in california.. they say that total for 2 dogs and transportation is 700....ok so what is a safe way for this transaction to go thru is paypal safe for me and the seller or what should we do.

Sadly, I have lost a Ferret that we have had for only about a week. I put him in his excercise ball and the next thing I knew he was gone! He escaped somehow and is lost somewhere in our house. Does anyone know of some way we could find him? He doesn't seem to know his name very well and I don't think he has a favorite squeaky toy. Help please!

They fined a man here in another county for taking a kitten from these little girls and gave it to his dog to kill. He did little jail time and then let him go. I think they should of gave him to a dog that does not like humans and see how he would like it. If our laws were more strict on these sicky people, they would think twice about doing it again. By the way, the little girls were given another kitten from kind hearted people in their town. It sickens me that these kind of people are called humans and live around us. String them up to the nearest tree and let them rot away!

SAD STORY.. my mom and i were coming home and there was this little critter walking down the side of the road. so we stopped and saw that it was a ferret!!! We were in shock for one thing cuz there was a ferret on the side of the road. for another thing it had just snowed like 6 inches the night before. so we caught him and now hes at my house he or she is so skinny and I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO TAKE CARE OF HIM/ HER. we put up flyers around town. to see if anyone lost him/her. but we live in a small area and i know every one around where i live and no one owns a ferret. my one friend has 3 of her own so i called her and asked her to come look at him/her. she said he/she is no more then like 5 months old. and it smelled like cat pee. like he was kept with cats. he/she is decented. so i ask anyone out there HELP what do i need to do to take care of him/her.......

I know they do this with food, but what about water. Would a mom hamster fill her cheeks full of water to bring to her babies, but drop a lot to make the nest wet? because even on the bottom layer where there is a plastic thing upfloor and a small space for them to go down a floor to the nest so water couln't seep through from a waterbottle, but the nesting is wet! It isn't pee!
