Hi. My Mom's g/f Lisa ADORES animals and especially cats. I don't wanna just be boring though and get her some cat calendar...I think I did that last year. And it doesn't necessarily have to be a cat gift either. Basically, she loves all animals and wants to help them without having to see them go through any pain or suffering. That's why she could never be a vet (she has issues). But basically I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what kind of fairly affordable gift I could get her for Christmas? Maybe there's something I could get her that would help animals, but yet she wouldn't have to see any pain or suffering of any animals in the process!? Or if no one can really think of any present I could give her that helps animals in that way, then if you could just help me think of any other animal related present I could give her. She already has like a cat coffee mug and a couple other things like that...(I'm trying to not be typical basically). Thank you :).

Bopeep, I think for her, a donation in her name would make her feel bad possibly. She is very sensitive and would feel like she should've done it, not me. She would feel bad for not doing it herself I think, lol she's sensitive like that.

Markle, it's her girlfriend. I am close to her, that's the only difference this makes. It wouldn't matter if instead she was only my mom's girl friend. I am close to her and that's what makes the difference in this.

PetSmart has a large number of things of their save that once you purchase them, a percentage of the sale cost is going in the route of helping injured/homeless animals. perhaps in case you purchase her a present from there and she is established with component to the money went hence she'd be ok? yet another cute theory on the grounds that she's so into animals is probably in the destiny even as she's lengthy gone, take her cats to have a Christmas image performed of them. purchase an 8 X10 (or any length truly) and function it framed for her.

You could take it a step further than your previous answer and make a donation to a larger more recognized charity like Duck's Unlimited or something like that. Then if you still feel like that isn't enough, and you have the stomach for it volunteer at an animal shelter and video tape the animals you help and give that to her. Then when she asks you why you did it say her love of animals inspired you to because you know she can't stand to see an animal hurting, or something like that.

Is she her girlfriend or her girl friend, because that makes a difference?

Edit: Well, the reason I asked is that it might make a difference to your mother as to what type of gift you gave to Lisa, so it might matter what her relationship with Lisa was. I didn't mean it as an insult or anything.

The Humane Society usually sells things like calenders and such, and part of the proceeds go to helping the animals. Or you might purchase her a charm bracelet with a cat charm to start it off with.

Does she HAVE any cats? Maybe get her something like a cute kitty-themed frame, and have your mom help you find a good picture of her cat or her with her cats, or go to one of those shops in the mall and get an ornament or sketch made from a photo. Or maybe get a subscription to Cat Fancy, or a book of cute or funny pictures of cats.

World Wildlife Fund- has a really good magazine. You could make a donation in her name to help animals all around the world and get a good magazine with lots of pictures in it.

You could make a basket sort of thing with different animal things that she doesn't already have. Like maybe something involving all the different breeds and where they are from with books and little beanie baby style cats.
