I used to have a cat who would try to climb it and a dog who thought it was as good a place to do her business as the pine tree outdoors. YIKES...was it just my pets or did yours think it was for these purposes as well?

Does anybody know how long after guinea pigs are neutered they become sterile? My Vet said that with cats and dogs it can take up to 6 weeks, but he wasn't exactly sure about guinea pigs.
I just had my 2 males neutered so I can put them in with my female. We originally got 2 guinea pigs. They were both supposed to be boys, but one turned out to be a girl and we ended up with 5. We decided to keep one of the babies and I found a good home for the other 2, but I don't want that to happen agian, but I wanted to put them all together as soon as I can because now my girl is alone.
Thanks

My husband and I are planning to take our cat across the border from Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada to Las Vegas, Navada in US for Christmas vacation. We are going to be flying over the border, so what are some of the requirements, or regulations for the cat? What kind of application should we fill out? Is there an official website that has all the regulations on it?

I have two mice, the petshop said they were probably male.

Well, one has now had babies... but...
There is one who is fat and one who seems to have lost a lot of weight.
I assume that the one who lost weight is the mother... but...
The fat one is nursing, although I could swear I saw the skinny one nursing too...
The skinny one ate a baby though.

It is possible that the two mice are female, and that they were impregnated by a "visitor" (wild mouse) that I found in their cage a few weeks ago.

The question then, is this: Would a mother eat her own babies?
Or, would a female eat another female's babies?

I'm trying to figure out who's male, who's female and what i'm going to have to do with these mice!

Is it true that swimming in cool water, can grow the fat under skin like polar beers have? I have heard that from several sources, but i dont know if its true. And people who use to not dress up warmly in cold weather will have also extra fat as organism reaction against the cold.

I was thinking of doing that to my two cats …..but I am unsure if it’s a good thing to do or if it will harm them in any way….yes I’m stupid when it comes to that type of technology……that’s why I want to ask those of you who have done this to their pets...

Any current owners willing to share their experiences? We were at PetSmart last weekend and he thought the small critters were cute and funny (he is only 5 years old).We are waying the pros and cons, and of course one of the cons would be that I would probably be the primary caretaker..... I've never had either as a pet so it would be a new experience for me. Thanks!

Every time I go in the shelter I get sad and wish I could take them all. I love animals so much and hate to see them caged up and begging to be loved. Some of the cats make me laugh because they're really laying on the charm, and I just want to take them home so bad!!! I already have 2 cats in a small townhouse, so I can't get anymore. I plan to adopt 2 to 4 dogs once I get a house with a big yard. Does anyone else feel so bad for them and want them all or am I a freak?
