You might want to check the water bottle or keep an eye on the hamsters for any suspicious behavior

Is the nest next to the water bottle? If it is not it sounds like your hamsters are drinking a lot of water. Ask your vet if this is a normal amount for a mother with a lot of babies to consume.

The water bottle is leaking because the ball in the metal pipe is either dirty or not fitting properly for some other reason.
Clean the watering pipe and the ball with a small toothbrush or a cotton tip and then try again.

You may need to get a metal clasp to put around the water bottle. You must buy this from the pet store. Wetness-----keep it cleaned up---don't put a water bowl in there because you will have a hamster swimming pool!

Couldn't it just be from the babies and the mother peeing a lot? I mean 9 hamsters will obviously produce more urine than 1.
