you do not. except the rabbit is scratching at it very much, leave the eyes and ears on my own! rabbits are really very sparkling. like cats, they spend quite some time grooming themselves. in case you spot the bunny consistently scratching its ears, then take a flashlight, shine it by the ear and look interior. you're searching for fleas, mites, or ticks. in case you spot any of those, bypass for your nearest puppy save and ask for the clinical care. in case you may, take bun bun with you, that enables you to be sure your diagnosis. rabbits have very mushy ears, and in case you stick some thing in there, they'll shake their head to get it out, and it may get stuck. my rabbit did not even like the chilly water melting off of an ice dice to drip in. at the same time as they're warm you rub their ears with ice cubes(they don't sweat or pant). as for the eyes, except you spot quite some drainage, they're advantageous.

Rabbits are social animals, and they groom each-other for bonding. Cleaning your ears means he considers you part of his herd, or vice-versa.
If you flinch or giggle when he goes for your ears, and he keeps doing it, your reaction must be encouraging him to focus his grooming there.
It's also possible that he's looking for minerals, if he doesn't have a salt wheel already.

Well due to your description, it means that he has an ear fetish. At night he is staring at them and is waithing to clean your ears.
