I am looking for the best companion animal other than a dog or cat, since I am allergic to them, and I can't afford the 4000 dollar Allerca kittens. I need an animal that has the same lovable qualities of a cat or dog. Also not something that is kept in a cage because to me that is no fun.

This person I know who is a very attractive women gets what ever she wants, because she wear these tight fitting jeans and plays dumb, and the men fall all over her. She has left the state for 5 days and made no provision for her horse that is boarded beside my horse. I asked around who is taking care of this horse, no one will do it because she has taken advance of a lot of people, and they are now upset, it's always do for her, and when you ask in return says says NO or charges you. Now this poor horse is standing there no feed, water, hay, stall is not cleaned. Now please don't says just take care of it, thats not the point, she just asummes people are going to do this , and then she puts on her cute act, or I forgot, not acceptable. It cost money to feed horses, and I live now on a very fixed income but I would never let my horse or dog go without, For the sake of the horse should mangement be informed, By insurance your not allowed to handle other people horses.

OK, maybe this is strange. I never put ANY thought into it until I was at a friends kitchen party with my mom. We were all talking when all of a sudden her dog started barking. My friend apologized to us, and asked her dog what was wrong. My mom said, "I"m sorry, I guess I got her riled up. She barked at me, so I barked back!" This didn't seem at all odd to me, except the looks on the other women's faces. . . I guess maybe it's all in what you're raised with???

I'm working with a horse right now who got a cut on his front right heel and because of it's location it's very difficut to keep a bandage on it. It's not too deep, but deep enough for dirt and stuff to get stuck in it and irritate it. I have been cleaning it out and dienfecting it daily, but it doesn't seem to want to heal. It's not really getting any better either. What else should I try?

I have an 7 year old thoroughbred mare that I am buying from the barn that I ride at. Right now she is being used about three times a week for an hour of working and within the next few weeks I will get her up to working her six times a week for an hour of rideing or 1/2 of lunging each day. She is being turned out with a blanket now and is not clipped and the average temp. at night is 27. Do you think I should clip her? Thanks for any advise.
