Yes pets can sense the moods of there owners, Most animals can sense joy pain, Love and abuse.which will lead them to bite you from fear . One can show Loving concerns toward a pet dog and call your pet by name just say in a soft voice " I love you". Watch the tail wagging. Now reverse that and the tail stop and you might get bit.

Hi Shermy, Oh yes they can. Even when i am sick, all 3 of my dogs will not leave my room. If i am upset about something, they have a very sad face. If i hurt myself they all run to me,to see if i am alright, and they start kissing my face. So it's true, they can. Pets are alot smarter than people give them credit for.

Yes. They can.

When I was having a BAD night, I broke into tears. Our cat (whom now sense passed away) had a fit and demanded to be in my lap and would almost violently nuzzle my face and meowing.
