I think that it already is a law, now you just have to get people to abide by it. Good Luck. And i agree with you, animals have rights that should be protected.

Many animals do have rights and it is a crime to kill or hurt them such as dogs, cats, dolphins. Other animals do not have these same rights, and we eat them, but I believe it has to be done humanely.

PETA has some excellent resources. I am sure they will help you in your mission. You have the right to have whatever beliefs you have in the matter - this is America.

Sorry, cutie, the circle of life is real. Your Sunday roast doesn't come from some magical, happy place.
Don't want to bust your bubble, but I've got bad news about the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus, too.

Animals do not have rights. If they did, they would have a constitution and elected representative. ANIMALS ARE NOT PEOPLE TOO! When are you tree-hugging, pot-smoking hippies gonna understand this? If you don't believe in eating animals, fine. But stop pushing your agenda on others. I like to eat steak, I like to eat chicken, leave people like us alone and go eat a fig bar. What? Did your goldfish die when you were a kid and now you want to free every animal you see? Do you know a cow personally? Did it say to you: "Oh, please tell them not to turn me into hamburger meat." Go live in India if you want to be a vegetarian.
