Point out there good qualities.........How gentle, if there easy to catch, shoe ,load, bathe, clip. Have you ever shown them? Just focus on there good qualities. I sell horses alot. I let them come out and test ride them. I don't catch them or saddle them until they get there so they will be able to see there attitude.

Try selling them on.............
dreamhorse.com OR agdirect.com
These are good sites for posting a picture and an ad. of your horse.

I am curious.........What kind of horses do you have and how much are you asking for them?

If no one is interested, it could be either the horse market sucks in your area, or you are asking too much for their ability (or for that area of the US). As much as you love them, they can not always sell for that much. Search for other horses in your area of the same breed, age, and ability- see what those are going for.
We need some info on the horses (I am looking for a basic dressage horse for my mother to learn on btw)
What I would suggest is advertise on dreamhorse.com, agdirect.com (we sold 8horses on this site) and equine.com Make sure you have pictures on there and that they are good pictures. Most people won't even glance at it without a picture on the site. Also, if your discipline has a classified site, post on there. You can post up fliers at local stables as well.
Another thing is to put an ad in your local paper's classifieds, as well as some around your area. Most states also have some type of online classifieds you can post on. My state's is www.thebubbler.com as an example.
Another thing is that fall/winter is the worst time to sell a horse. Most people will not buy until spring because you have to feed the horse through winter and when it is cold or snowy- you can't always ride.

Good luck on the advertising!

Go to petfinder.com and place a classified add.
While on petfinder.com check shelters that adopt out horses, they may be interested in yours.
Have you checked with your vet., sometimes when people are looking for a specific animal they will leave that info. with their vet.
Good Luck

Advertising on Dreamhorse.com or equinehits.com is a good place to start.
