If I added two snails to my aquarium, will they produce more snails and will it eventually become a problem? Also, if I add the snails, which are small, would my other fish eat them? What do snails eat?

I have never had snails before and my children are wanting to get some to go into our 29 gallon aquarium, so any help or advise would be appreciated.

THANKS!

I rescued a couple fish from someone today and added them to my tank. They were in there 7 hours before I noticed that something was WAY wrong. First, one was missing an eye and I don't know if it fell out today or I just didn't notice. Then I noticed the second one had a really curved spine! Looked it up online and found that this is most likely fish tuberculosis...they say to euthanize the fish. And that it's highly infectious, even to humans. I'm just wondering if this was enough time to completely infect my healthy tank and what should I do now? I don't think I'll be rescuing any more fishes in the future....

I recently got a betta fish, and I was wondering if it would be okay to feed him "goldfish crumbles"? It's major ingredients are ground corn, fish meal, and soy flour.

And, the fish only has to subsist off this for another week, until I buy him actually betta fish food. But, if my fish (Charlie Cabot) is going to die, I'll make the extra trip (55 miles) to buy him food.

Thanks!

I inherited a new tank and it came with 6 dark fish, I cant figue out what kind they are, I took a picture that you can see http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=4ztbjw8 It is really important so please answer asap. I was told by the previous owner that they do lay eggs, but eventually eat them before they "hatch". If you can, please tell me how i can get the eggs to hatch, and raise the fish.

My husband and I were walking along a small pond and found a dead fish of some kind. It had the feet of a lizard but had the body, gills and a back fin like a fish. I was fricked out. We took pictures because neither one of us has seen one before. Any clue what it is. Some of the locals saw it is a muddog. But can't find any information about it. If you know what it is please help us. It looked like a fish with legs. If that clears it up better.

I have a 10 year old Hatchet fish. I noticed it had cataracts about a year ago. Within the last week it has developed a growth on top of the cataract (its eye.) It looks exactly like a small white grain of sand and is also about the same size. It is not ick. Has been suggested that it could possibly be a tumor. Any other suggestions as to what it is and what to do will be greatly appreicated.
