I researched bettas and I found out that they won't eat betta flakes. However, I couldn't find out why. Does anyone know?

I think your research may be incomplete. Most bettas I have ever kept or raised ( into the 10,000+ numbers over 20+ years of breeding them) would accept flake food fairly well.

My bettas rarely turn down flake food. However, you might be feeding them too much and they're simply not hungry. I might suggest a more varied diet. If you're having a problem feeding your betta then just try some new foods.

Flakes don't resemble any natural food source, bettas are carniovors and a flake just does not look like food.

Bettas will eat just about anything.

I feed my Betta TetraColor pellets.
