Recently I have had two different batches of fry (one batch from a molly, one from a swordtail) that have had a couple of fry that seem unable to get off of the bottom of the tank without a lot of effort. Is this some sort of swim bladder birth defect, or something I can fix? If it is something I might be able to fix, then what should I try?

I listened to someone's advice and turned it off when it reached below 50 degrees and resulted in sludge and decaying mess in the bottom of the pond. 4 out of 5 fish (all less than 4 inches long) are now dead. I think the pond needs to continue circulating throughout the winter months to keep the water clear and clean, but I'm not sure. This is my first winter with this pond, which is approximately 300 gallons. Help!

I am building an outdoor aquarium of several hundred gallons and have lots of clear spring water to run through it, maybe as many as 8 to 10 complete water changes per day. I want to keep lots of fish. Can I change the water too much, will I be washing away all of the little microorganisms that little fish might feed on. Can the water be too clean? thanks

We have two beta fish, 1 male, 1 female. My daughter knocked over the females tank, and I couldn't find her for a while, when I finally found her I threw her into the males tank and she beat the crap out of him. She was pulling at his fins, etc. Now she is fine, back in her tank, and he won't come out of hiding, or eat. Is there anything I can do for him?
