Sorry but clout is a parasite medication ( and a very good one). What you need is antibiotics. See my answer to your pervious question. If you have any questions I can help with feel free to drop me a line.

Clout is for parasites:

Dropsy is usually (but not always) caused by bacterial infection and brought on by low water quality. If you're going to medicate, try Melafix instead, since it's antibacterial. And most importantly, keep your betta's water warm, clean, and stable. That will do the most in the long run in keeping him healthy.

Hope you don't lose him.

as I said before I'm pretty sure it's tuberculosis. I read that you had 5, but 3 died of dropsy. did you get them all from the same place? fish tuberculosis is VERY contagious (and super rare, which is probably why you haven't seen anyone else answer that it could be that, not many people even know it exists). my assumption is that they all have fish tuberculosis. and I have said there si no way to save them.

I know this because my favorite female died of it. a little less than 6 months after I got her. it's a terribly terrible disease.

It sounds like you have a lot going on. As suggested before, I say to do at least a 50% water change to get rid of any previous medications before adding anything!

Here is a link to a website with specific health/disease/treatment recommendations for Bettas: http://www.bettatalk.com/betta_diseases.htm

This site give different info for dropsy treatment: http://www.fishdeals.com/fish_diseases/dropsy/

Good luck with these!
