Fish - August 2006

I got this fish about a week ago. Feeding is fine and all. But no matter what, the fish will not eat if it thinks im looking. Also, every time I go near the tank it goes and hides. It is a gold fish, and I hear gold fish can be very friendly and come up to the top around feeding time. My fish stays hidden til I leave to go to the top to eat. Any Suggestions on helping him be less scared of me?

I have an oscar. The holes are actual indentions in the skin. They look painful. I need to know what this is caused from and how to treat it because they keep showing up all over his body and it's getting worse. I know what ick is, so it's not that and they are not blisters. They are actual round indentions in his skin. I'm thinking it may be "hole in the head disease". Except that they are all over his body, not just his head.

I've got a 3 gallon betta bowl. i've had my betta for almost 3 weeks, but i've noticed little blue hair like thingies swimming around when i move the rocks around! I clean out my fish bowl every week!!

I tried siphon and water changes. I really need a cheap way to really clean it WITHOUT changing all the water and having to take the fish out and scrub it. Something that costs less than $10.00 and can be used over and over again. PLEASE, FOR PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING ONLY!

Uh oh. In a few weeks I shall be moving several hundred miles away to my new apartment. Coming with me are all my fish.

In my new apartment shall be 3 tanks, all of which will not be cycled. What can I do? I can't go up before hand and start the process.

The fish that I have in my fish tank is dying. It can't swim anymore so it's just laying at the bottom of the tank still breathing but just laying there. It can't get any food because the food stays at the top of the tank. I get so sad when I go by the tank & look in there & see it & even when I think about it. The fish is probably sad that me & my family aren't doing anything for it but we can't we don't know what to do & their's no fish doctors. I'm also sad for the other fish in the tank because it's probably really sad because the fish is dying & because it will be the only 1 in there so it will be lonely. What Should I Do???
What if my dad takes the fish out of the tank & throws it outside when it's still breathing??? When a fish dies my dad just throws it outside without barrying it. :*( :*( :*(

Ther're all happy and healthy during the day until the lights turn off, then dead the next day. It's happened a number of times now and I know it's not an unhealthy or improperly acclimated fish (they all eat). So who's killing them (worms or clown)?

I have a 10 gallon tank. each fish i buy they seem to keep on dieing. my goldfish dosent come up to eat it just lay on the bottom. my black moor fish's tail is breaking apart and it has white spots on it. it also has like long white things on it tail. i tried wardly ick away but its not working. and my fish tank is so white

We have been given some "king british snail control" by a friend, but there are no instructions in the box other than those on the box. I am not sure if this kills the snails or just knocks them out as I bought a different brand which turned out to be useless. Mine says on the inner instructions that it just knocks the snails out and then you have to filter them with an underwater gravel filter and we don't have one of those.

Any suggestions or anyone know how what this king british product does?
