Betta don't get pregnant, and even female with eggs don't get noticibly fatter. Besides I'd guess your guy is male. This sounds like bloat, or dropsy. We'll assume it not dropsy as there is little you can do at this stage. Stop feeding for 2 days. Then feed him a peeled cooked pea.

Also you might want to cut back on his feeding, or vary his diet a bit. Things like blood worms, and brine shrimp tend to lead to bloat if you feed them every day. (Not that they aren't good for them, but bettas need variety for a balanced diet.) I tend to alternate between freeze dried brine shrimp, fd blood worms, and flakes. Plus a day of fasting and a peeled cooked pea.

Your feeding him too much! Don't feed him more than 6 pellets PER DAY... EVER. I feed mine 4 to 6 pellets a day, and then give him no food one day of the week so his system can balance itself out.

I guarantee thats the only thing the matter right now. Fish owners ALWAYS feed their bettas too much.

Try feeding him shelled cooked peas. This should help make sure they are small enough for him to eat.
