We were told it was a parrot fish, however, I can not find anything on the net that shows a parrot fish with these markings. The body is light yellow and on the sides the markings look like a flower with stem.

I had 2 kissing gouramis in a bowl and they both died within a week.I'm feeling really sad about it.Now I know bowls are dangerous, so I'm thinking of setting up a small tank. Which fish are hardy and best for a beginner? Also, what are the main equipments I need for a healthy tank and happy fish? ( I will have just 1-2 fish )

There are only two fish and they are large and hardy (a goldfish and a shebunkin), and the tank is large (29 gallon). I wanted to add two crystal turtles to the tank for decoration, but I am wondering about lead content in the crystal.

I have just built a backyard pond, 1,400 gallons or so. All has been normal until now. a few goldfish are really giving one of there own a rough time, chasing it alll over even forcing it to break the surface of the water frequently. All the fish are new, and all came from the same well established pond. All are goldfish.
Any insights or advice would be greatly appreactiated.

I got a fish tank that can hold 10 gallons of water. I got a filter and a heater. I would like fish that can get along with each other and ones that can live long. How much should i get of them? What do they eat?
What do they like? What temp. do they need for Summer and Winter. Will a cleaning fish do well together with them? Thank you very much, sorry for asking so much. Im a beginner in this.

I just changed the water in our 1 gallon tank. I hooked the air pump back up and it is blowing air and running fine, but there are no bubbles coming out of the tube inside the tank. What could be wrong? Help...I don't want to kill the fish!

Just start rearing tetra. Treat water with chlorine removal, add salt too. Feed tetra twice a day.

I have a 20 gallon tank with 5 fancy goldfish in it and I just lost my second algae eater. (They were both rubber lipped plecostomus and, yes, my water levels tested fine.) The boy at the pet store said it would be better if I didn't have one in the tank. He also told me that goldfish sometimes produce too much ammonia for algae eaters to live in. I already have a small algae problem... will it get much worse without an algae eater? Do any of you out there have an algae eater living successfully with goldfish, or will I be better off without one?
