Listen to me all of these people are idiots. You do not have ick and your fish will not die if you treat him properly. One of my fish have the same thing right now. What they have is columnaris it looks like very small spots growing on there fins. It will slowly disintegrate. This fungus disease is very similar to fin rot. Treat the fish with Binox. This is a product from Jungle Laboratories. It will treat the fungus plus a lot of other fungal diseases. Follow the direction and mix with water before you put it in the tank. It is working very well for me.

My boyfriend has worked for pet store and thats where the expetes come from. If you want a good tank I would recommend pulling out the fish that are in there and treat them in another small tank. Now, Disassemble the tank. Thuroughly clean the tank and all components. After you put the tank back together use RO water (or filtered water) to fill up the tank and the let it run for some time. You will need to add Cycle (R) to the tank and get the ceramic piece that will grow bacteria and put it inside the filter. DO NOT put the other fish into the tank until you are 100% sure that the other fish are healthy. Also, take the water that the fish are currently in and take it to a pet store and have it tested.

my black moor fish is the same, I have had 3 now within the last 3 months and they have all died. I have a 30 gallon tank, with no more than 3 fish in at a time along with 2 shrimp. I have taken a water sample to pets at home and they said the water is fine. I have a sufficient pump/filter and do a 10% water change every week. I can t bear to lose another fish, I feel so sorry for them but I don t know who to keep them alive. Surely it cant be so hard??

do not add any more fish. you have a serious water quality problem. try changing 25 % of the water then add more ick medicine, make sure you remove carbon from the filter first. wait 48 hours and repeat. keep doing this untill problem clears up. and never add more then 1 fish per 5 day period. a ten gallon tank with good filtration can handle about 1 inch of fish per gallon. but not gold fish, gold fish= 1 inch of fish per 2 gallons, do not include the back fin as length of fish when calculating this.

i gotz a good explanation for this! what you think that its ich is actually is that the fishold enough to breed. i think that the fish's tail is coming off or something is because it has a tail rot.
From site
Treatment: It is best treated with an antibiotic. There will be one best suitable at your local pet store. Make sure it states that it treats Fin or Tail Rot. In some cases a secondary infection or fungus will appear. If this is the case, treat the fish for the fin rot and then proceed to the fungus problem.
the white spots isnt a disease

Simple answer is filter... You need one in there, the job of a filter is to break down the toxic wastes produced by fish, this is done via the nitrification system. (slightly complicated) but basically the fish excreting waste, feeding, rotting plants or whatever produces ammonia you need a filter to break that down, if you don't break down the ammonia you will see this cloudy tank but more importantly your fish can die so sort it out. if you do have a filter the bacteria is not working so you need to ask yourself why. are you dosing the aquasafe correctly is there any oxygen getting to the filter. or is there simply too much waste for it too deal with. my 1st advise would be goo to your local aquatic shop and get them to test your water (most places do it for free). ammonia nitrite are the most important. but they will surely be able to explain. as for the white spots could be white spot, fungus, or bacterial, all can produce spots of some description but all come down to once again poor water quality and stress. Good Luck

Do you have children? Happened a while back when my daughter poored milk in the tank.
Check with a tropical fish store. Not a pet store cause they've got too much going on to effectively diagnose fish.
Change the water for them as usual adding more of the old with the new to acclimate them.

Guess you will either figure out what is killing all your fish or just keep on buying more hoping that one of them will live through the disease and filth in there
