My two month papillon ate some string, what should I do?

2007-08-08 14:07:31 · 13 answers · asked by starlightstarry 1

Okay i have to re-post this question cause i need help. My pu ppy is 10 weeks old and is a female German Shepherd. I know shes teething, but shes doesn't seem to know its not alright to bite my pants and pull on them and bite my ankle. I give her lots of toys to play with, but after awhile when no toys are around she comes to me and nibbles on my pants and osmetimes my ankle. It doesen't hurt but i feel uncomfortable. I hold her muzzle shout for about 30 seconds when ever shes tries and i say NO. I did lots of things, but still doesen't work. Im scared like holding her muzzle she'll hate me and fear me. I tried holding her muzzle again and she barked at me... I am so scared.....

My male english bulldog is constantly barking at the neighbors when he sees them thru the cracks of the fence. They're not doing anything out of the ordinary ( the neighbors) just hanging out in their backyard. My dog will start barking excessively & jumping up against the fence. My neighbor (an older lady) is now scared of my dog because she thinks he's going to try to bite her. He seems to be obsessed with them now & I've tried for days scooting him away with a broom, making him sit down elsewhere while he calms down. But as soon as he catches his breath again he'll walk back to the fence & do this routine over again! I thought being repetative in showing him to stop would help him stop but its not working. We walk him daily, he has plenty of toys, another dog in the backyard with him and we bring them (dogs) both in to spend time with my husband & I.

mI don't know what to do with this proble,

We just moved in about 4 months ago. It just started about a month ago.

hi, i adpoted a 5 year old desexed male ridgeback about 3 months ago, the family who owned him, had him and another dog at the time. They got along really well. At the moment he is the only dog we own. I have been taking him to obedience training and he is generally good around other dogs and wants to play with them. I cant help but feel mean for letting him live alone - with that being said he is not neglected - we go for a drive to the beach every Friday and have lunch together - he goes for a swim and then we go for a long walk along the sand together. He goes to obedience school 2 times a week and also enjoys lots of car rides. He is an inside dog and has his own bed in my room. So i know he has human company. My other reason for thinking about getting a secend dog (a female puppy) is that i am really enjoying this whole obedience thing and would like to consider competitive obedience. i know i could go further with a dog trained at a young age. I wouldnt love either any less.

She is a small breed (pomeranian) and is 27 weeks (so about 6.5 months)... she is really getting tired of her puppy kibble and i know she likes her adult kibble... is it okay to give her adult kibble at about 8 months? what if i also give her some puppy wet food (she loves that!) to balance it out?

My dog must either be sick or ate something bad but he's had diarrhea when I got home from work. I just got him from the SPCA a week ago. He's about a year old. His energy level is the same as always and he's not acting different. When should i call or take him to the vet?

Okay so here's my story. I got this Shihtzu at Fox Mill Pets, she is quite the chamer, her 'doggy friends' (the dogs with her) were very playful, love to run and bark. My dog is the opposite, she NEVER barked ever, she likes to sleep a lot, and doesn't go pee or poo outside whenever we take her out. It's very confusing me. I love her very much, I just need some advice. Please please please e-mail me seriously about this manner. Thank you!

hi, We have a male dog that hates all other dogs. If he sees one outside, he barks and trys to get out thru the window. I think it's physiological as he's been attacked twice by other dogs. He is fine with the 3 cats and has been ok with kittens.

We (well the missus) has now brought home a young puppy and the dog is going for her all the time.

Any advice on how we can help them get along?
