They will wander around the house looking at everything and later they will want to be with you everywhere you go in your home. Then before they die they find a favorite place they like to sleep and they lay down and sleep and pass away while they sleep. That's what some of my dogs did.

If they're going to die, they'll sleep a lot, and don't eat anything, and if they're not doing any of those, then you might want to take the dog to the vet, for check-up.

Why do you think your dog is going to die? Take it to the vet or an animal shelter, there are usually vets there.

Well if it isnt acting normal and/or moving from its current possition. Then the chances are that it is sick or dying. You should know your dogs personality and if its acting unusual then take it to a vet.

Dogs usually go off to die by themselves. They don't want to be around people when they die. If your dog seems to be distancing himself from you, then it may be time for your loyal pet to go off to a better place. When my friends St. Bernard dies he was found in the back of their yard near the woods. And the funny thing is he never went near that area.

He/she starts to slow down, loses their appetite, can lose control of bodily functions.
To be sure take your dog to a pet clinic, he/she may only be sick.
Good luck.

He gets old, he gets slower, he is sleeping more often than he is awake.. You can look in his eyes and you know that he is thinking ' I can't wait to be able to be free of this old body ' and then he is gone.
