No, it just depends on who the primary caregiver is and how hard you can be on the dog.
My dog might be a girl, but she likes girls because of what we can only assume happened to her in the past. She hates guys that wear hats - she apparently ran up to a guy with a hat while on a walk randomly and started barking at him. She also hates guys in sunglasses, she'll do the same but not as vicious-sounding barking (I'm guessing a guy she knew in the past wore a hat and would take it off and hit her with it when she wouldn't leave him alone or wouldn't shut up or whatever).
My dog dislikes my dad the most, but that's because he tends to yell more and squirt the squirty bottle more.
Yet my dog loves my brother.
But not as much as my mom of course.
It all depends on how you act around the dog, how you treat him or her, how devoted you are to walking them, giving them attention, playing with them, etc.
It's just that dogs like girls more because MOSTLY (on the hole), girls are kinder and more giving to animals than guys are.
So NO, it makes NO DIFFERENCE what gender the dog is or your gender, it's all based on how you treat the dog.
Which really does make sense, doesn't it? You're mean to the dog, they'll be mean right back, if you're kind, caring, yet let them know in a firm but not aggressive way, they'll be more inclined to like you.
And of course it mainly depends on the dog's personality. Every dog is different (just like people), they'll like who they like and dislike what they don't.

I haven't found that to be the case at all. I have a male pom/chi mix who "protects" me from everything! If he gets in bed first, nobody else stands a chance. Not my husband or the other dogs. He'll growl like there is something huge about to get him. The rest of the 5 dogs I have are female. The youngest shih tzu prefers my husband's company to any one else's. I walk, feed and play with her. He shows up in time to spoil and pamper her.
I think it just depends on the dog.

This is not true. Dogs are loyal companions to its family. The are pack animals and may attach to the person they see as leader of the pack, male or female.

No, I have a male Lab who is completely loyal to me at all times. He actually likes females better than males. My Lab does not leave my side for even a second. My boyfriend has a female Lab who is the same way with him.

it is not substantial what gender your dogs is, your dogs would be unswerving to you as long as you're sort and gentle to them, yet in addition a company chief of the relatives. a feminine dogs would be (frequently) calmer and particularly less complicated to coach, jointly as a male dogs would be spunkier. that's an outdated different halves' tale (that hasn't been shown real or untrue) that female dogs have a tendency to bond with the guy of the living house and male dogs bond with the feminine. on the tip of the day, none of those particularly count variety, all that concerns is what gender do you desire. i've got continuously owned male dogs, I in simple terms think of they're goofier and extra exciting. yet all of my associates have female dogs, who're large and total sweeties. the determination is as much as you, and what is going to shop your dogs from working away relies on the sort you cope with them.

Nope, it all depends on the dog and who they prefer. My dog prefers girls to guys anyday but will chase off after my dad in an instant.

Nope, doesn't make any difference. Any dog that has been socialized and trained and knows you are alpha will treat anyone the same, including strangers.
