There is no such thing as a dog that doesn't shed that doesn't require grooming. The non-shedding dogs are schnauzers, poodles, and yorkies, all of which must be groomed. Asking for that is like wanting to have a human baby who never needs a haircut. The non-shedding dogs grow hair like people do. The schnauzer is probably the closest you are going to come to all your requirements (the mini size).

If you get a small enough dog, the shedding doesn't matter. I have chihuahuas, both smooth and long coat, and the shedding is hardly noticeable. They don 't smell or drool, they don't need grooming. Housetraining is fairly difficult for all the small dogs - they have such fast metabolisms it is hard to keep up. You have much better luck paper training them first and gradually getting them to do all of it outside when they are full grown. If you do get a dog, I suggest you get an adult from a shelter so your mom doesn't have to deal with training it. Chihuahuas and most of the other small breeds have very long lifespans, so a dog that is 2 or 3 years old still has at least 10 good years left.

There are dogs that don't shed much but they need regular grooming and clipping because their coats grow long and matted if you don't - and in order to keep dogs from smelling they need grooming and baths. Small dogs generally don't drool. Small dogs can be taken on camping trips but you need to keep them on a leash and have a place to secure them inside at night so they don't become victims of wild animals or lost. I'm not sure any dog can meet all these requirements.

Dachshunds. They do not have any doggy odor. They shed but the hair is so short you never see it. They do not drool. My three love to go camping and chase squirrels. Since they do not have any odor you only bath them when they get dirty, just a few times a year. They are very smart dogs and need to be trained for them to become just wonderful pets.

I have 2 minature wiener dogs and I love them. I have always heard that they are rough with kids, but they are not. They are very friendly and affectionate. They hardly shed and are super cute.
