Over the last year a lot has happened, i have been diagnosed with severe anorexia, i have self harmed, i attempted suicide and came very close to suceeding and then in the past week my brother died unexpectedly at the age of 17.

I have one dog already, but my parents want to get me my own dog (my present dog belonged to my brother) so that he can hopefully aid me in recovery so that i can get my life back on track. I am only 15, so it has to be quite an easy dog to train and stuff...does anyone have any specific breeds which can be good in helping recovery??

Thank you.

I saw a puppy the other day, he was light brown, sort of beige. He was cuddly like a teddy, not too furry, just enough. He actually reminded me of a panda, but obviously not black and white. smaller than a cat, but I don't know how big they grow, though I'm sure they must stay quite small.

Does he really have an accent and is he really from scotland or is that all an act. And does he know what he is gonna say before the show. I know to some degree it has to be somewhat planned but does he know all of what he is gonna say.

The puppies were born 7-7; the front nipples have shrunk back, but the farther back they go the bigger they get - the ones in back hang down 3-4 inches, and show cleavage. (!!!)

Is this common? I've seen nursing dogs before and never saw ... well, boobs on them.

(The puppies are on solid food, and nurse in the morning only - seems more as a form of comfort than nutrition)

She's had it for a while now and it just keeps getting bigger. It doesn't cause her any pain though even when I push on it. It's squishy...almost like it's filled with fluid.

This puppy is beautiful. She has ears like the long-coated chihuahua, but has the other characteristics of the maltese. She was black with a white around her eyes like a racoon, when she was born, but has since changed her color to white with black fringes. She has maltese eyes. I've been told they now call mixed breeds "hybrids".

My yorkie is one year old and I need to trim his hair, but he gets extremely hyper or energetic when I try to cut his hair. Is there some sedative that I could give to him? Someone told me that Benadryl could be used and when I looked it up I could not find anything. His hair is getting tangled and mangled because he acts the same way when I try to brush his hair so it is hard to just brush his hair. Please help me--how can I brush his hair and trim it to keep his coat in a good condition?

Just read the Yahoo news, Mike Vick is suspened indefinatly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He lost everything that makes me verrrrrrrry happy. Stupid bastard, i hope this is a lesson to all so-called celebs, that just because your famous doesn't mean your above the law. I also understand that he will be facing a tough judge, go judge go, give him the 5 years. But what would be the best way to make him feel guilty for killing them? Me personally want to do everything to him he did to those dogs, only let him live to tell the story. And then do it all over again. I'm sorry but i get very defensive when it comes to the abuse of animals. And yes, i care about the human race just not a**holes like him.

So heres the whole story. My roomate adopted a dog and later found out that it had all kinds of worms and ringworm. it had been with our other two dogs so we decided to keep them in the garage until they could be tested after a couple of days since we were told that it doesnt show up immediately. They were away from the other dog from there on out. two or so days later my dog pooped his bed with kind of loose poop and then went outside when i let him out and had a lot of pudding like poop. I took him to the vet and he said that it could have been because he ate something bad. he did a fecal test and nothing was wrong. Hes on anti diarrhea pills and that flora stuff. He's in great spirits and not dehydrated. Now our other dog is pooping the same exact way. Started with pooped bed and now twice a day she has diarrhea. Vets say its nothing. They are vaccinated, so i THINK its stress cause they are in the garage a lot. maybe food went bad in the humid garage? Going to vet in the morning.

They said because the landlord lives on the same property, even though we rented a house w/4 acres, she isn't responsible to pay for our dog. This was an expensive dog that was used for stud services.

my puppy is 8 weeks old and we just brought him home,(2 days ago)is it too early to discipline him not to bite, he mostly does it when he plays which i know is regular puppy behavior. if so how should i do it?,currently im just telling him no sternly and it works most of the time, but sometimes it dosnt, is that enough? i herd about taping there noes when they do something wrong, but im worried it will cause aggression in him or he'll become scared of me, and i dont want that, also my puppy was born into a litter of 11 hes use to having others to sleep with, so should i sleep beside him outside the crate while hes inside so he has company? or let him rough it out alone during the night until he gets use to being alone? or should i put him in his crate in my room to sleep, ill sleep on my bed and him in the crate, what seems the best idea to do? when he grows up we're probably gonna leave sleeping in the crate optional, but he wont be allowed on the bed, just for the fact of dominance

So i had my dog fixed this week but ive notice twice now...once he pee'd on my bed. Not a full pee cause it only went through the comforter and tonight he had a "HAPPY pee" when i got home.
My dog NEVER ever has "happy pees" and never pee's in the house or on my bed he's trained to hold his bladder for 9-10 hrs a day.
So can getting him fixed weaken his bladder or something cause this just started happening this week when i brough him home.

My Lab girl (1 year old) has turned out to have a lot of talent in both agility and obedience courses, and has an excellent temperament for training and companionship. We have her pedigree back 5 generations, and she does not have a history of eye problems or hip dysplasia. My family was thinking of breeding a litter of her puppies because she is an excellent specimen and would definitely improve the breed. We want to be reliable and good breeders though who aim to produce quality pets, not backyard breeders out there to make money. How do we learn how to become good breeders? We have a huge fenced-off backyard, and a lot of patience to raise little puppies. I want to give it a shot.
