My grandma had the same thing happen to her dog. I know that she kept a good eye on her. She also would rub her tummy and made her feel very relaxed and not stressed. The dog soon got over it with the care she gave and the vet's advice. The vet was very sensitive to the problem and followed her though to the end. Make sure she is not stressed and has plenty of water.

Anemia in dogs is simply a low red-bloodcell count

False Pregnancy is just that her hormones are way out of whack.

Let the vet do the lab work for the blood, and just wait the pregnancy out. You should know in a few weeks.

BTW, I also have a jack russel that gave birth at the beginning of this year. Good luck.

Anemic is a low blood cell count, i think your vet would need to put her on meds or something for this depending on the reason for the low cell count...... I would definitely call your vet for more info on both, and make sure she is ok. It seems weird he would tell you this and not do anything or tell you any options....

Aside from spay her and neuter your male?

Her blood problem is "anemia" which means she has a low red cell count. It can have several causes, but ultimately it means that she gets tired easily, isn't getting enough oxygen to her body for it to function right, and she can die from it.

I couldn't find anything on the fake preg thing. But maybe this will tell you what to expect when she IS pregnant. (Things to look for when she is pregnant.
