Are you all out of your minds? I have two 55 Ib dogs and one 120 Ib dog; my dogs go out at least 5 times a day or they will have accidents in the house. I'm in the petcare industry and can't imagine a dog going out less than 4 times a day if they are locked indoors... How long can humans hold their urine? Geez, not 7 hours and we aren't the type to go pee in the corner like a dog would need to. If you can't allow your pet to relieve themselves more than twice a day, maybe you shouldn't have pets, because that means all they do is sit at home alone... NOT FAIR TO THE DOG!

My ex had basset hound that was trained not to go inside no matter what. A very good dog, he got out and got pick up by animal control he was in there for a full day when we went to pick him up he could barely walk he was limping so bad didn’t realize what was wrong till we got outside and the found the closest spot and peed for what seemed like forever. I swear this is the truth but most can’t hold it in this long. I was shocked and amazed myself.

no, that is too long. They *can* learn to hold it up to 8 hours, but it is not good for their kidneys and the dog may have problems down the road. Give your small dog puppy pads or litter box train him instead of forcing him to hold it all day.

It would depend on the dog. If the dog had a high tolerance for this, probably 7 hrs. If it had a low tolerence, 5 hrs max. I let my chi every 5 hrs, to be on the safe side.

Up to eight hours I would say. But puppies can bearly hold their waste for an hour. But If the dog is very active, it will get high metabolism and that might lower it down to about 6 hours, depending on how high it is.

7 hours is really kind of long.
I don't expect any dog to wait that long.

SEVEN HOURS? No way that is to long. Train him on a pad or keep him in a small space with a pad to go and also water. And if he is not fix do it.

I agree w/ taking the water bowl away throughout the time of the night/in the previous bedtime. Then take the puppies out one final time in the previous you bypass to mattress. thinking in the event that they have a million crate they share or each and each have their own? it is a attainable reason they could stir in the event that they share a crate & "feed off" one yet another while a million wakes up. in the event that they have been given their own, then i could shop putting the pooches of their crates (maximum canines won't use the area the place they sleep as a bathing room) for the night such as you're doing now. And with any luck the 3am steerings start to vanish away. while they do, then i could initiate testing them outdoors the crates. **{in the event that they nonetheless stir, you should attempt keeping apart the crates by putting them in diverse rooms from one yet another. that must be a thank you to determine if its in basic terms in basic terms a million canines that stirs. perchance by that, the restlessness heavily isn't as undesirable to wake you & in all risk be a fashion for them to strengthen out of the "night wakings."}** with any luck this could help ya out & you are able to initiate snoozing throughout the time of the night. :-)
