So i had my dog fixed this week but ive notice twice now...once he pee'd on my bed. Not a full pee cause it only went through the comforter and tonight he had a "HAPPY pee" when i got home.
My dog NEVER ever has "happy pees" and never pee's in the house or on my bed he's trained to hold his bladder for 9-10 hrs a day.
So can getting him fixed weaken his bladder or something cause this just started happening this week when i brough him home.

He may be drinking more because of the heat of summer, so take him out for a potty break every 4 - 6 hours if you can. If he keeps trying to hold it and can't because the bladder is too full he could get an infection, just like people who hold it too long. It's acidic and it will start eating at the lining of the bladder.

It's possible.

I am more aware of the behavioral changes in an animal once you get it neutered however, I'm guessing this is probably more behavioral than any kind of physical result to the procedure as it has minimal risk of complications and is fairly straight forward.

It could also be an immediate result of the procedure that will disappear over time, I would suggest monitoring his behavior, you may need to re-train him to refresh his memory.

This is natural for male dogs to do this after they just got their prized posessions taken away. It will go away after your pooch is completly healed. If it doesnt then contact your vet for further advice.

PS you will also notice some other changes in your pet, alot more mellow, less food consumption and someother things.

Call the vet and see if this a normal side-effect of getting nuetered.
