and don't say so they don't pee on their legs, bc other animals don't lift their legs to pee (probably a good thing for giraffes)

she is still somewhat hyper, but not as much as before. when we give her treats, she eats them, however she doesn't wanna eat her real food which is science diet + some wet food. i recently bought the bigger bites for her, and not the small bites and i'm thinking maybe that's what the problem is. however, i still worry she's hungry. she eats from my hand but still very little. i don't like spoiling her however i'm really worried.. please let me know if this is normal or not. please don't tell me to just take it to a vet unless you deem it really necessary. thanks in advance!

I've run out of the prescribed "Doggie Painkillers" and am wondering if there's anything I can do for him. He weighs 84 pounds and has a strained ligament in his rear right leg. And please, I know the obvious answer is to go to the vet and get more, but I won't have a chance for a while...

My pekingese seems to have skin allergies and I don't have the money to take him to the vet again. I read online that you can give a dog Benadryl on two different sites. Has anyone tried it? I'm afraid of hurting him or worse!

I have two little boys, they are almost 2 and 8. They want a puppy but I am not sure what kind of dog would be best. I want a small to medium sized dog that would be good in the house. One that is short haired and obviously great with kids. Any suggestions??

I have an 8 week old doberman who is so bony!! When we got him from the breeder, you could KIND OF see his ribs, but i attributed that to him being small. I know the breeder knew what she was doing though (she knew how to take care of him well), and his litter mates all differed in size (some were skinny like him, some were bigger).
So, I feed him three meals a day. According to the bag (Hills Science Diet), I am supposed to feed him 1 1/2 cups of food a day, so I feed him three 1/2 cups of dog food a day. He is still so small, though! When I rub him bottom, I can feel his bones! Is this normal? I give him exercise, love and food, and he's super affectionate! Could there be something wrong with him, or does his metabolism cause him to be extra skinny?

P.S. RIGHT after feeding him, his tummy plumps up for about a half-hour.

I remember hearing somewhere that if you have an open cut and a dog licks it, it will heal quicker. Old wives tale?

I have a yellow lab he is just a year. He has these "hot spots" on both his elbows. What causes this? And is there anything I can give him to make it go away.

Thank you!

I have 7 month old Teacup Chihuahua. When I first got her at 7 weeks old, I followed the breeders menu Cesar's Cup Dinners, she seemed to enjoy it very much, and she would eat it very quickly. I noticed at about 4 months that she wasn't as anxious to eat her food, she would take a little, and walk away, it seems like I have to force her to eat at times.

My dog has been walking a little weird lately, i'm not sur eif its exactly a rolling gait, i don't know. But on our walk he kept sitting/lying down, and i don't know if he was in pain, or what. Also, he wouldn' climb the stairs halfway, even when i held out a milk-bone for him. I've looked online for symptoms of hip dysplasia, and it said some of his symptoms, but i'm still not sure. If anyone has any kind of insight or anything to help me, that would be great.
