Yes dogs get lice. They are however a different species of lice than what humans get. We can get a short lived infection of lice from a dog but I have never heard of a dog getting a short term infection from people.

Yes.. there are many different species of lice
And yes, dogs CAN catch human lice
Oh yeah??? I have SEEN human lice on dogs, had to explain that no, your child did not get lice from your dog, your dog got lice from your child. Yes, human lice do prefer humans, BUT they will hop on a dog if hungry. Dog and human lice are pretty easy to tell apart under a microscope.

Yes, they can get lice, and transmit them from dog to dog, but not to other animals nor humans.
Human lice don't get on dogs.
Dog's lice look like little white dandruff with the naked eye, and only under a microscope one is able to see their little bodies completely.

Thankfully, head lice (Pediculus humanus) are species-specific, meaning they only like, and are transported by, human heads. Human head lice can only live a very short time off a head, and will not cling to the coarser hairs on a dog's pelt. However, do vacuum the dog's bedding well, and your upholstered furniture, and definitely any carpets in your home. Wash all bedding in hot water and use the hottest setting on your dryer to dry them after.

Most deffinately. If you think your dog might have lice, use a flee comb and look for any small bugs. I think they are generally red.
