He's just your everyday cute little Pom...his coat isn't show quality that's all....his parents probably have the same type of coat, there is only 1 type of Pom. Their coats differ from dog to dog , line to line......he's very cute though. The ones bred for show are bred specifically to have that crazy fluffy poofy coat & it also takes A LOT of conditioning w special shampoos & grooming to keep those dogs lookig like the ones you see on TV all the time....he's pet quality thats all nothgin wrong w him at all.

It just a pomeranian. The reason it doesn't look like the ones you see at dog shows and on reputable breeder's sites is because it probably was bred from parents that don't either. That is why the breed standard is so important to consider before breeding dogs. The breed standard is the blueprint, if you will, of what a dog is supposed to look, act and grow like. Breeding dogs that aren't very close to the standard results in puppies that are even further from the standard and so on until the dog is almost unrecognizable as a pure bred anything, let alone the breed it is supposed to be.
The dog in the video is probably a good pet, and fortunately someone obviously loves him, but I would recommend they not breed from it.

You're right, it doesn't have the usual fluffy coat. Maybe they live in a hot weather area, and it's coat doesn't get full. Or maybe it has a little of something else mixed in there with Pom.

It's just a cute, pet quality Pom.They look quite different from the tiny balls of fluff that are show Poms. They're bigger and sturdier. My cousin had a Pom who looked identical to that one!

Your dog is absolutely adorable!!! Loved the video. :)
He looks like a pomeranian to me, but with a thinner coat. Some have heavier coats than others, it's just whatever they get genetically from their parents.
