alright now these people have been told that they got to pick up after there dogs s**t that is(I live in an apartment). Its the law to pick up the poo. now there are no new dog owners allowed because of these people being lazy. I mean these people must not like having the dogs that much because a notice went around outlining the rules for dogs and nobody has followed it. at all now when I step in poo they are not going to like my course of action. on days that I have off I am going to stand out there with bags and ask people if they are going to pick it up if they say no and or insult me and tell me your standing out here with bags why don't you clean it up my response will be ok. now heres where the fun part comes in I pick the poo up watch the apartment they go in and I place the poo at there door so when they come out they step right in it after awhile I think they will get the hint the question is if I do that will I be breaking the law by not calling the law what you opinion

I have always wanted an Australian Shepherd, but in New England they are so expensive, around here i think they are $500+ even for a pet, how much is it near you?
i know out west they are cheaper because they are used on ranches and as pets more

I'm considering purchasing a toy dog, and I want to do as much homework as possible to find which type would best suit my household. I am often over at my mother and 17 year old sister's home who have a cat and chocolate lab who are both very sociable, so it would be best to get one that got along with other animals. I also am looking for a mild and very loving temperament. Any advice?

I was out walking my Golden Retreiver last night when another dog came up to him they were both off the lead - it was also male - all hell broke lose and they started fighting. I tried to seperate them by hitting mine with lead and generally screaming like a banshee! The other owner also female tried to seperate them by putting her hand in amongst them - I shouted to her not to put her hands in amongst them - upshot was she got bitten - I feel really bad obviously because my dog was involved but surely she must take responsibility for her actions - she is saying my dog bit her but that is NOT the case - the dogs were fighting and she stuck her hand in?!

I have a 5 month old chihuahua. Her name is Lucy and I was wondering what are the pro/cons of getting her fixed? I have never had a pup before so I am very nervous about the fact of stitches and her being as playful as she is.I know that they have a cycle..but taking care of that ..is it alot of trouble? She is not around any other dogs so her having puppies would not be a problem..any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

My dog got hit by a car and the vet said to let him heal on his own and would not give her any pain pills. My dog flew about 8-10 feet when the car hit her. She is walking but in extreme pain. I need a serious answer.

I have a AKC standard poodle that I aquired from a breeder two years ago. On her website it states "(quote)Most breeders are line breeding and cross breeding so that the gene pool s limited and throws many faults so we are careful not to follow those practices and are insured larger and healthier genetics."
She mentioned when I got the dog that she studied the history of all her dogs to prevent line/cross breeding (aka inbreeding). The three generation pedigree doesnt have any multiples but I bought the five generation pedigree recently and found MANY multiples!! There is not a chance she sisn't know because even if you took the three generation ped. from both parents, you could clearly see line/cross breeding. My dog is inbred! I researched and found this isn't always bad if you follow certain methods, but it doesn't look like those methods were followed PLUS she PROMISED they don't do that. I told her what I know and she basically dodged it saying it was my ignorance so my fault...

I have a maltese that is around 2 years, female. Recently, I bought a new maltese which is around 3 mths, male, to accompany my old maltese. However, my old dog is being a little hostile to the new dog, the new pup follows her everywhere, and she runs away everytime he follows her. The new pup licked her bowl once, and she refuses to eat after that. What am i supposed to do to them so that both of them would feel comfortable with each other?

Dog breeders ONLY please!!!! I only want real breeders who can speak for themslevs to answer. I want to know if you personaly would find it useful to have a way to network more easily with OTHER BREEDERS, not buyers.
