another question this one about law and dogs?

alright now these people have been told that they got to pick up after there dogs s**t that is(I live in an apartment). Its the law to pick up the poo. now there are no new dog owners allowed because of these people being lazy. I mean these people must not like having the dogs that much because a notice went around outlining the rules for dogs and nobody has followed it. at all now when I step in poo they are not going to like my course of action. on days that I have off I am going to stand out there with bags and ask people if they are going to pick it up if they say no and or insult me and tell me your standing out here with bags why don't you clean it up my response will be ok. now heres where the fun part comes in I pick the poo up watch the apartment they go in and I place the poo at there door so when they come out they step right in it after awhile I think they will get the hint the question is if I do that will I be breaking the law by not calling the law what you opinion

or do you think I should just inform the police of the place they stay and what they are doing. but you know you think they would just pick the damn poo up. I mean I saw one of them out there s**ting his dog and he saw me I looked him over for a bag he realized what I was looking for and went back inside wouldn't you think instead of being all worried and stuff they would just get a bag. I mean I like dogs I like cats but I swear there owners can be pretty f***ing stupid and lazy

they whole complex recieved notice I mean the notice alluded to almost being evicted for and people still are not doing I saw one guy out there like I said his dog had not even started to poop and people showed up and was like oh I better go inside before my dog poos in front of these people and I get a 500 dollar fine thrown my way and really he could have just had a bag and picked up and not had to come back out and there is a trash can right out side you don't even have to bring the poo inside your house I mean its ridiculous really it is

not saying I really have time to stand out there all day just like an hour a day I can catch at least two people in an hour I have been yelled at before for using someones trash can but any trash is better in the can than on the ground

they have dog wardens in england(you sound english sorry if my assumption is incorrect) thats unusal but sounds kind of cool but yeah I'm in the states we have animal control i guess that about the same even though they handle just about all animals in populated areas dog warden sounds more specific

I don't know what area you are from Don, (the fact that you mention an apartment makes me think that you are from US)but I have contacted our local Dog Warden and she has taken a statement from me about what I saw and the dog owners who didn't pick up ended up with a fixed penalty ticket. I think that you would be wise to leave any action to the proper authorities rather than take the law into your own hands, though.
I have been a dog owner for 45 years and I hate being 'tarred with the same brush' as those inconsiderate owners who do not clear up.

I like your style. But i think maybe you could get in trouble. And that would be a shame as the dog owners would get away scott free. If I were you i'd get my mobile phine out and video the culprits and show your landlord/apartment manager. if they've already released a statement saying they have to pick up after their pets,the video proof should get things moving. I agree that these dog owners are just being lazy and selfish, it's part of the responsibility of having a dog, to pick up after it.

sounds like a plan lol. actually what happend to me yesterday is i walked my dog down the block an i had to pick up poo, well i used a little bag an picked it up.. well now i had a bag of poo, so i walked a little bit til i seen a trash can by the road an i walked by it an put it in, an i heard someone yell at me. i mean really, if i seen someone put trash in my trashcan i wouldnt yell id just be happy they picked up after the dog. its like a no win situation sometimes.

I suppose you are right because irresponsible dog owners need to be taught a lesson. We always pick up after our sweet lovely dog and never expect other people to have the unpleasant consequences. At the same time standing outside with picking up equipment implies that you have little else to do each day.

All the cops are going to do is give them a ticket and they may have to pay a small fine. Just watch your step and leave the poo where it lands. When there is enough poo everywhere, inform the landlord of the situation. He will do something about it.

Know where you are coming from i regular see people not picking there dogs mess up and it fustraste me i really want to say something to them but being a women i think they might be not nice,i did tell 1 person of and she was alot bigger then me and the abuse i got from her was so unreal it was true she did say she was going into the local shop to get a bag and pick it up but i wish i had my phone to phone the local auth but i didn't and she didn't pick it up either.Being a dog owner of 4 dogs i totally agree and the police just don't wanna know,b****** government.

I think you must have a lot of time on your hands, but it's a great idea. People that do not take care of or pick up after their dogs don't deserve to have them. Would they allow their human child to just pull down his or her pants and crap in the middle of the grocery store and leave it there, probably so. Somewhere in their lives they forgot to take the lesson on responsibility. Don't you wish people had to get a license to have pets or children????

I think this is one for the apartment manager to handle. Get some video of people not cleaning up after their dogs and present it to the Apartment management He can then send them a letter of Shape up or ship out! Don't try to handle it yourself.

you take photos to show it is continual and you send them to your environmental health officer at the local council and they will deal with it.
