My baby(dog) is 59 days pregnant. Today her temp dropped to 98.6. She is now rolling from side to side. Panting a little not often. But her breathing is very short and hard. I have been to the vet 3 times with her since Dec. 19th. He said she will not go untill the 1st of Jan. What should I expect? b4 u ask--she got pregnant on accident. she is an inside family member. My son let her out thinking he was helping mommy with the work over load. Sweet thinking but she ran off in the process.

My mini Dachshund is acting very bad lately, instead of pooing outside he holds it in all day and then right before he goes to bed or the very next day just acts like he doesnt have to go outside and poos in my house/Office! I take him outside and stand out there for a good 20-30 minutes and he goes pee but then acts like he doesnt have to go poo even after walking around for quite a while, he is almost a year and has just changed from a very good well behaved dog to a very snappy and mouth do whatever it likes dog...did I do something wrong? I dont even correct him anymore when he does something wrong I just scold him because when I corrected him thats when he started to get snappy and everything...ugh am I just a bad small dog owner?

I have a German Short hair dog who will be 1 in January. I have a daughter who just turned 1 in November and my wife who cant seem to handle the dog. I hunt with him almost every weekend and i love being outside with him. the problem that i am having is that he likes to run all over the house when he is not in his kennel and he doesn't always obey his commands when i have given them to him. Any ways i can get him to calm down so that he can be with the family more often. I have not taken any classes with him, he knows sit and stay. But not all the time, probably more like 80 percent of the time. I take him for walks twice a day and he loves every minute of them. Anything else i might be able to do to try and get him to settle so he can be with the family? thanks.

Whether in playing or relaxing our 6 week old rottwiler loves to grab a hold of cloths or bits down on arms legs and now going for the face even in the night time. It is worse with our small 5 year old. we were told to flick him on the nose and say "no" but that doesn't work and it seems to make him yelp away and pout. Help.

You do not list an email or I would have sent you an in depth explanation of what went on between my vet and myself.
For torbaynew... (about my not being really clear, or something. Whatever....)
11 days after I shipped 2 puppies, new owner stated her vet said they had coccidia when she had them checked within 72 hour limit. She stated one got well within 1 day and one died. I requested vet bills---PAID bill for recovered puppy. Requested her vet contact my vet with autopsy report on pup that died--no autopsy done...offered to have my vet call her vet---nasty email wanting money for vet bill--restated have her vet call my vet--still waiting....DID NOT pay vet bill.
I just wanted a breeders advise from their experience. I really did not need all the capital letters and exclamation points, I get the point, your not fond of breeders that do not have Champion dogs.
There are people that are physically and financially unable to show.
I prefer not to be blasted when I ask for guidance

My bf said when we bought this house we could get another dog since our dogs (he has 2 and i have 1) are 6 yrs and older, we could get a pup. The neighbor were giving Chihuahua's away and i got the smallest one for the kids christmas The lady said IF ur bf doesn't want it you can bring it back. We said ok and took the pup home. Bf fell in love with it knowing we didn't need another dog to feed. He named it and played with it . We had the pup for 3 weeks, when kids left for xmas and he and i got into a fight, he took the pup and give it away Lied to me& kids, They were hurt and upset now they want to go home and not stay with him they do not like him any more Now i have to choose between my bf and kids over him giving this pup away and not getting it back from his mom BF says its my fault for get'n a pup in the first place IS IT? or is it his for giving it away when the kids were with their dad for christmas OR is it his mom's fault for not giving the pup back to my

we have a 12 year old female cocker spaniel who doesn't get along well with strangers. but we got a shih tzu a few years back and after a while they quickly became best friends. but the shih tzu was very outgoing so maybe thats why (but shes no longer with us). anyways we're open to any breed but have to keep in mind we have only a medium size fenced yard and live in a humid area (louisiana). there aren't any children in the family. there will always be at least one person home with the dog. and yes we can afford a puppy now. i'd like a dog thats known to be easy to train and that is affectionate. not necessarily a lap dog. i'd really like a large dog but that wouldn't be fair to keep it in a kinda small yard. i want a walking companion but one that can live indoors and not be bored. so based on all of that what should i get?

My dachshund puppy turns 1 in early March, and I'm researching different foods to switch him to. I'm looking at Nutro, Science Diet, and Canidae.

If anyone -- particularly vets or breeders -- have any input on these foods, it would be greatly appreciated.

I just got her from the pound. she is long-legged, a little bigger than a jack russell. she will barely move from one position, resists leash-pulling, and splays her legs out like she doesn't believe the floor is really there. she acts this way on all materials: carpet, tile, outside. she likes her bed though, and only cowers and shivers if i try to move her. she is not in pain, when she does move on her own her motion is normal.

I have a 3 year old Redbone hound. She jumps up and darts out the dog door at the slightest noise. I recently discovered the reason for her nose looking cut up. There is a metal strip on the bottom of the flaps that hold it in place with the magnet on the frame, she hits it with her nose running full blast and I believe it is cutting her nose.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? I feel bad cuz her nose looks like it's been put through a shredder! Not to mention the pain she must feel.
